Should I attend my sister’s wedding if she banned my boyfriend as my plus one?

My sister always treats me weird any time that I am in a relationship. I am in a serious one right now and every time I try to get her and her husband to meet my boyfriend she makes an excuse not to come. Even for family events if she finds out that he is coming, she will not come. She has not even met him and has no reason to judge him. The rest of my family loves him, but my sister and her husband won’t give him a chance. My sister is getting married and I asked her if I can bring him as my plus one. My family already had told my boyfriend about the wedding and alluded to the fact that he could come as my plus one. I figured I would ask my sister to make sure that he would have a meal for the wedding. She said that he can’t come to her wedding as my plus one, but she is letting everybody else bring a plus one. I don’t know why she’s like this, but she has been this way my entire life. As soon as I get a boyfriend, she starts treating me poorly and will not give my boyfriend a chance. This relationship that I am is the most serious one that I’ve been in and we are talking about marriage and kids. I want her and her husband to get to know him, but they just refuse. I honestly don’t know what to do. Do you think I should go to her wedding or not go since she made it awkward?

I feel like a serious talk is in order, and if she refuses then I’d decline going to the wedding. I don’t want this suggestion to come off like you’re having to pick a side and choose one or the other. The thing is, if it’s not this guy it will be the next since she’s repeatedly behaved this way. If I were you I would not accept a future with this man or any other, where they aren’t acknowledged as my partner and she treats me as a single person. If you don’t address this now, it’ll only be an ongoing issue for any future family events, especially if you were to get married and have a permanent plus one. Her actions will impact the functionality of all that.
