Bridesmaid and maid of honor?

ladies, I have a question. I currently am dating my boyfriend, and in the beginning I came to terms that his sister may have to be in my wedding like as a bridesmaid, but eventually she has been rude and has said things that I would never say to my brother's girlfriend if I were in that position. now, when it does happen, I don't want her to expect it that she will be a bridesmaid. I have pulled back on talking to her about important stuff or anything in general as well as hanging out with her. my boyfriend is aware of this and all he recommended was basically the same thing cut back on hanging out with her and stuff like that and it's like when the time does come and she asks why I did not ask her to be a bridesmaid do I tell her the truth or do I suck it up?

I have tried being nice. I've tried to do it all but the only thing I'm afraid of is obviously a shift and behavior even more than there is now and also I've even said to myself it's like would I even be one of her bridesmaids because at the end of the day, I would not want to be.
