My ex and I broke up 6 months ago.

We got back in contact 3 weeks ago had some drinks talked a lot on the phone, but this week he didn't contact me at all no calls no messages nothing he knows it's my birtday today 100% so it's not like he forget or anything I'm sure of that

how could you be so cruel not even sending a text it really hurts me should I confront him about not talking to me, and forget my birthday on purpose what's the reason of someone doing that

I understand feeling forgotten, honey. But... isn't he your ex? He's your ex for a reason right? He probably just forgot. But anyways honey its your birthday why are you worried about him? go out have fun and do you. if he can't wish you a happy birthday, or remember to, or whatever he doesn't deserve your thoughts. So just forget about him and go have fun. go find a new man! I highly doubt that he intended to be cruel. I mean is it really that big of a deal? honestly?

No offense intended but... exes are just that, exes. Expecting them to remember a birthday is like expecting the pope to give you a call. It sort of sounds like you're still hung up on him, since you got so hurt and upset that he forgot. If you confront him about it, it might totally turn him off and you may not hear from him for way longer than a few months. Best thing you can do is chill and get over it.

Err, blowing it a bit out of proportion there aren't you? I mean, there are plenty of things in this world I would describe as cruel. Not wishing someone happy birthday is not one of them. Sounds like you're still hung up on him and blowing this whole thing way out of proportion.

Guys forget birthdays. I couldn't tell you the birthdays of any of my friends except 1. It's just something I never remembered.

no that's really not the case I know guys forget birthdays but my best friend put a message on my blackberry so I'm totaly sure he looked at it something else must be going on acting strange this whole week do you guys learn to be jerks in school or what :(

Please don't jump to conclusions. Give him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he's dealing with family issues or something. When you talk to him again, then politely ask him if he's doing all right. Casually mention what you did for your birthday and that you would have invited him to join in but he didn't call.

I rarely assume things. It is difficult enough having two people talk about things let alone trying to read body language and mixed signals. Ask him and if he seems shady, leave him be.
