He gave me a birthday present?

I've gotten really close with this friend of mine lately. He never gets birthday/Christmas gifts for anyone, but when we were talking about my birthday coming up he told me he had a present for me. It wasn't anything really really fancy, but it was thoughtful (it was a metal keychain of Jack Skellington from the Nightmare before Christmas, my favorite movie ever), and I know that it must have cost a decent amount cause I saw it at the Disney store once and it was pretty expensive for a key chain. Does it mean anything that he bought me a birthday gift when he's never gotten one for any of our friends before? Also, any idea what I should get him in return? His birthday is next month and I don't know what to get him now. BTW, we flirt a lot and spend a lot of time alone together, so I was already wondering if he liked me.

I'm pretty sure he likes you, and about the gift, he obviously put thought into your present, just think about bands, movies, books or places he really likes and go from there

Well he likes country music, and like me he likes Disney stuff a lot. Mostly the villains haha. He's also Irish so he likes things that represent that. I just don't want to get him something too childish so that he knows I put a lot of thought into it. Also, it's his 21st birthday, if that helps.
