He forgot my birthday 2 years in a row?

Last year my the big 30 was coming up. I only got excited cause he talked about it all of January. What he was planning, made me book that weekend off and got me all excited. That month he stopped talking about, he had allot going on and when it came to the day, I called to see if whatever he planned was happening and he canceled on me. I spent the big 30 crying in my room like a little girl. Again this year, I'm turning the big 30 again (ladies, we get to do it till we get it right...right?) and he said that he would do something to make my birthday great. Well my birthday is in two weeks, all he can talk about is his birthday. The fact that he will afford to do something nice for himself on his birthday. When I mentioned my birthday to him again, he said Oh yeah, that's coming up. I would think its a surprise thing if I didn't know better. I know him well enough to know that he contacting all my friends for that wouldn't happen. He doesn't do the surprise thing. The bugger forgot it two years in a row. What do I do?

um... he's selfish...and you're delusional... What kind of relationship IS this? He makes it all sound huge and whatever but then fizzles out? Does he do this on other stuff too?

I'm not sure WHY you put up with this but I hope it's not the "I'm too old, no one else will like me so I better keep this one" bs we "old" women tend to do sometimes.

Find someone more considerate. My boyfriend forgot my birthday but I forgot our anniversary so basically, we're the same... that's normal for us.

For you on the other hand, that doesn't sound normal... and by the way, is he a leo because they tend to be self focused a lot... you need a few tricks to get him off those. Trust me I know, my boyfriend is a leo... lol. :)

I only ask because you said he kept going on about his bday. My boyfriend does the same thing but I ignore it. I say, dude, you're getting candy... and leave it alone. Last year I gave him meow mix (yes, the cat food) because he kept using that phrase over and over again... I have no idea why but he did. Well he stopped using it. So you see, you can get them to stop doing stuff or start doing other stuff...but you have to get creative. IF he's the right guy. IF he's worth keeping. Some guys are best thrown back to sea, if you get my drift.

Hes a tarus. He does stuff like this all the time. Anything really important to me he forgets. He even forgot to pick me up once and I had to take a cab to our home and wait on the step till he came home. I admit, he's not the most considerate man. It is always about him. But he has his moments that make up for them. I just find that the last week I spend more time feeling like sh*t then anything else. I wait for him, he makes plans with his pals and when I say I'm going to make my own he's like WHAT

I took him back once. Things were good but we are right back to square one. He's not Mr Right who makes me feel like #1 and remembers my birthday but Mr Good In Bed but Bad Everywhere Else and great sex 6 times a week every 3 weeks isn't enough for me! I need a whole lot more!

listen hun, I was in bed with a sex fiend. To him sex was food, he needed it every day several times. I complied and I loved it, but something was missing. He was only a d*ck to me...in all ways. Yes, I don't get nearly as much sex as I want but I can hang out with my boyfriend and not feel like, who the hell is this guy? I have nothing in common with him and he's an a hole! I can't even get mad at him for very long and god knows I put up with as much sh as he puts up with mine. It's more even. I can go to his house and do nothing and it's OK. My ex? I could barely be there for half an hour! It was bad...

On the rocks. I was just told by him last night (he works in a camp) when he called me drunk with his rig boys around that this is his life now and I'm a visit! Looks like happy birthday to me!
