Me and my boyfriend are in a long distance relationship. Around the birthday week he did mention that my birthday was coming up. But on the day he didn't wish me at all. After about 3 days i texted him saying he missed my birthday and he called me apologizing and telling me that birthdays didn't mean so much for him as he never celebrated his. And saying about how everyone leaves him and i shouldn't. Like wtf?
If forgetting your birthday is the worst thing he has ever done, I think it’s perfectly acceptable to forgive him.
I forgot my mom’s birthday last year just because I didn’t even realize what day it was until I saw a calendar on the wall at work and it was a week after her birthday…
if i were you i’d break up with him. i take my birthday very seriously so if my own boyfriend can’t even remember my birthday we don’t need to be together. that’s a dealbreaker for me.
Isn't it a known fact that men have a bad time remembering dates? I always forget all the dates except for some. I would make sure to remember my girlfriend's birthday but that's just me. Doesn't mean that he doesn't love you enough because he forgot yours I think.

I think celebrating birthday is one way people in love, relationships can have and it means a lot where one confesses how special you are to them
He clearly knows he messed up. So call him and explain how that made you feel unspecial. Tell him you do want your bday celebrated and ask if he can make an effort next year.
He means your birth is not any meaning for him... so don't be drama bitch.
