Why does my ex boyfriend insist on getting me a Christmas and bday gift?

We were together for almost 3 years. We have been broken up for about a year. We attend the same college which has been kinda hard. It seems like we are never on good terms but I still love this guy to death.

So anyway he keeps telling me he's getting me a christmas gift and bday gift even though I didn't ask. I doubt he's trying to get back with me because I believe he is talking to other girls. But why would he do this if we are not on the best of terms?

My opinion is that he wants to remain good friends.

Guys talk to girls whether they have a girlfriend or just recently broke/single. And if its the case that he wants to be good friends, its kind of testing the waters.

Also, when you are with someone for 3 years, you feel kinda attached so you still remember them during special times that come by (x-mas and your b-day).

On the flip side, it could be that he wants to "keep his options" open or get back together with you. Personally, it's more of an options thing than anything else. You have to see everything as a whole and then judge it.

What kind of guy is he? (Trust worthy? Jerk? Player?)

How did you guys break up? (Who did the breaking up with who, on good terms or not?)

Why do you think you aren't on good terms?

Has he hooked up since you guys broke up? (key question, no offense)

I have never been one to judge without knowing all the facts. There's a couple of possibilities here: 1. He could very well be trying to get back with you 2. He's playing a deadly game of russian roulette with your emotions because he apparently does not know how to move on. My advice sweetie is to keep your friends close but your enemies closer

Sounds like he still has feelings for you. I wish my ex boyfriend would buy me a gift ;*). If you aren't on the best of terms, it may be that he wants to make it up to you or be nice. My ex boyfriend ended it on bad terms too, however, he hasn't actually done anything. I agree with the other answers, maybe he does want to get back with you. ;*)

Maybe he wants to stay friendly with you or maybe he just wants to get you a gift cos he likes you as a mate.

maybe you and him are meant to be together.tell a friend that he trust and that he will tell enything to and tell that fiend to tell him to ask your ex what is going on that he wants to give you gifts.
