I have been given some paintings and drawings as gifts in the past and they are kept preciously by me.

My ex was good at painting, even though he’s a businessman, it’s his hobby, he painted me on one of our anniversaries. It was one of the most special gifts for me.

Would say it depends on tho whom. A gift needs to be special to someone. So if you're creating for the sake of creating, it's not good. But if you do something great that's special for her, thats another part.
