How did you feel immediately after doing it?

I just quit using them and eventually the credit card companies get the hint and close the accounts after they renew it once and I still haven't used it by the next renewal. I really don't see a point in keeping more than a couple active when they have more than a $15,000 limit on each. I effectively use one as a free debit card and pay it off each month.

Nope the only credit card I have is prepaid so I've never gotten into trouble with debt.

Right now my savings have gone down quite a bit because I moved to a new place and I had to pay the deposit and I have some other expenses for things I need in my new place. But I hope I can start saving again soon.

I have never in my life used a credit card. I am perfectly fine using debit cards and prepaid cards issued from the bank. No credit cards for me, no thanks.

I got credit cards that I need to close them, I got too many open credit accounts, all my fault. Getting credit cards is bad now I hear that Capital One credit cards will take you to a local magistrate after so long of not paying on it.

yes, and I'll do it again by god... I felt remorse and sadness... it's credit down the drain. but I never used that sears card anyways...

It's called the 'never never' here, meaning once you're hooked you can never get away from it. I would never use one!

I just got a notice from a credit card company that said that I ha e not used the card since 2021 and if I did not use it efore Sept 1st it would be closed I cut the card up and let them close it.

I closed it because we didn't NEED it.  We have our household charge card, I have one for my business and my wife has one for her business. Done!

yeppers, often. It never bothered me a bit. Usually, it was because a better one came along with a better rewards program that fir my life.

No…that is bad for credit reports. Best to keep it open as it keeps your debt:credit ratio better. Occasionally fill your gas tank with it then pay it off.
