Some gypsy stole a wallet from my bag as I visited Valencia in Spain. I was a little bit tired and there were thousands of other tourists, my situational awareness wasn't the best in this moment. Somehow they cut a hole in my leather bag and found this wallet.
Fortunately I didn't have any documents like driver license or ID in this wallet just bankcard and few pay back cards, library card and shooting club card. Money, ID and phone were in a small side pocket in this bag.
I called my Bank and they blocked this card instantly, I didn't even inform Spanish police because they work anyway with those thieves together.
This was a lesson always to deactivate PIN less payment method or BLIK that is very popular in my country.

When you're visiting Europe and a group of gypsy girls approaches you with an umbrella, you know they want to steal your stuff.

Never, coz i only have 1 credit card and use it as bus card (transportation card). Other transaction only used debit cards.

Yes. I had a card that kept charging interest regardless if you paid the previous balance in full. For example, if your balance was $100 and you paid $100 before the due date, they would charge interest from the time they sent you the balance until they received the payment. Then they would charge interest on that amount for the next billing period. The only way to pay it off was to estimate the interest for the interim period and add that to your payment. I cancelled that after a couple go-rounds with them.

Yes, I gave my credit card number to an internet service provider. I cancelled the service but they continued to bill my credit card. The ISP would not credit my account and the credit card company told me that the ISP had to cancel the order. I cancelled the card.

Only 2, and they were the first 2 I ever got. I made the mistake of letting my mother use it. My accounts got flagged for laundering money because she kept pulling it all out as cash and putting it into her bank account.

I cancelled my debit card function after finding out that -unasked for- it included an ''insurance'' for which the bank stole money from my account.

I have. It's because if I don't have the cash in the bank that I can but it with my debit card then I don't need it until I can pay cash for it

Once. They decided to add an annual fee after the 2008 market crash so I closed the account to avoid the fee. I rarely used the card anyway as I preferred my AMEX, debit, or cash.

Credit cards are very risky especially when you lose the card. On the darkweb you can buy tons of personally owned creditcards from unknowing owners

Yeah a few times either because I wasn’t using it anymore or because it had an annual fee but once you close an account, it affects your credit score for a few months
