Is it ok to mostly have simpler tastes in terms of belongings?

I like dressing nicely and eating nice meals, but I don’t have many decorations in my room, unless they have sentimental value. I have a plastic Chinese pig piggy bank, a gift from a close friend, a jewellery box from my grandma, a couple of pieces of artwork that were gifts and some jewellery, again, mostly gifts. Besides that, I don’t shop for perfume or other nice things for myself, unless it’s towards travel, clothes or food.

I prefer shopping for other people. If I love a piece of jewellery, it’s because a friend or relative gave it to me.

my mum loves beautiful things, I appreciate them, but if they don’t serve a purpose for me, I give them away. To my mum, my cousin, or my best friends.

I also like regifting nice things, as I can’t afford to buy them for others. On the occasions that I get them.
