Last week a bought a ring stretcher off eBay and then found out the hard way it wasn't quite what I thought. No harm done, a quick wash and I sold it on.

But when was the last time you bought something that wasn't what you thought it was.

Yes, three video games I bought were quite a disappointment...

One was with first-person view (I really dislike such games)

The other one had crappy controls, and was too difficult even on the easiest difficulty

The third one had lame graphics and quite confusing story.

I bought a cheap watch approx. 40 $ on one of those Chinese crap sites with ton of fakes. I didn't buy a fake because this can cause problems with toll office.

My expectations were low. After 6 weeks the delivery came and I was positively surprised. The finish was very nice, it didn't feel cheep and this watch has automatic mechanic movement. I think they sold this watch under production costs just to get me hooked, since this site has weird "dynamic" pricing mechanic.

I rarely buy things online. If there's something online I'd like to get, I tell my wife. She then does detailed searches about it before ordering anything. In the rare case that we don't like it when it arrives, we return it.

If I buy something in person, unless it's defective, I never return it. It was my decision to buy it so it's unfair to blame the supplier for it.

That’s why I don’t like to order online. You get a lot of cheap trash. I like to see my things in person and feel it and touch it. To see if it’s good quality or not before I buy it
