Am I selfish for not wanting to share my birthday money with my sister?

I am 28 single lady and my friend sent me $1k and my sister found out he gifted me cash. My sister is demanding me to give half of it once I receive it. Like she always orders things from online shop and never even buy me any. Plus I know she's struggling since she has a daughter who just started college but I also want to buy something with that money for myself. Am I selfish for not wanting to share it to her? I could just say I did not receive it or its a scam

It's not selfish since it's your birthday money but sometimes I personally torture myself in situations like this and ask myself if this person dies before me, will this be something I'd regret or feel bad for and usually I make decisions off that and a lot of the times I don't regret those decisions because it's simply just going to be weight off my conscious.

It's your birthday, not her birthday. If she makes a big deal about it, do the same when she gets stuff for her birthday about letting you use them, or if it's money, have half of it. I guarantee that she will not feel the same way when you're bugging her for half of any monetary gift she gets on her birthday.
