I just don’t focus on brands really, unless I notice a certain brand consistently puts out high quality products for a reasonable price.
And I avoid those brands that sell trash and use celebrities and social media to get people to buy their stuff…

6 moWe switched to ordering online stuff from Amazon to Temu 'cuz Amazon keeps trying to push more stuff and to upgrade to Amazon plus for higher priced items than Temu has anyway.

Yeah honestly I didn’t buy a Rolex this year and I also didn’t get a Ferrari…
Joke’s aside I’m not much of a brand guy
I prefer functional
If it’s from a nice brand then it’s great
But it’s not something I look at when choosing what I buy00 Reply
6 moNot just 2025 but over the past several years I stopped buying anything that says it contains GMO's or has bioengineered shit in it!! I'm not interested in becoming someone else's science experiment and I HOPE RFK will put a stop to all that shit!!!

6 moWith the odd exception I've largely stopped buying American products because of Trump's dangerous rhetoric and support for Putin. I don't want my money going towards an invasion of Greenland or anywhere else.

@Staximus it’s being talked about. Check world news. Cubas next
6 moI hold off from getting anything at Target or WalMart unless absolute needed.
I don't buy P&G because their ad campaigns are pure junk.
Any TV ad that features people dancing about a product, goes on my "avoid" list too. (lots of those are from drug companies pushing their pills and MAB injections).
00 ReplyNo, this didn't happen until 2:25No, this didn't happen in 2025. It happened much earlier when I decided I would never buy anything from Apple again because all they do is make expensive garbage that they overcharge for and that fails far too soon. They also try to lock you into every lousy deal they can figure out to get you to keep using their crap.

how did you fall for that in the first place?
The price might be okay, but when they add the expensive shipping charges to merchandise forget buying it!!

6 moNo, what I buy hasn't changed, how much I buy, and how often, has changed somewhat, in response to increased cost of items

u 6 moNo, but I rarely buy something because of a brand name. I usually look for reviews and read Consumer Reports.
10 Reply830 opinions shared on Shopping & Gifts topic. I have a whole list of companies that I boycott because of woke policies. Coca Cola, Disney, NFL, Wal Mart and many others.
10 ReplyOne of my ironclad rules is that I will refuse a company's products if they pester me with obnoxious commercials. One example I can give you is 'Subway'.
00 ReplyI don't follow any brand as such..
As a marketter , I appreciate it's all just bullshit , and never follow the nonsense pedalled by any ' brand name ' .00 Reply- 309 opinions shared on Shopping & Gifts topic.
6 moi've actually found that i am super frugal and that it doesn't hurt that much to buy something that isn't a staple. it still mentally hurts me lol
00 Reply Things are getting too expensive too fast especially this past year. I also do not go to a few stores because they do not align with my political views. An example id Chick Fill A or however you spell it another is Hobby Lobby

6 moYeah for some reason a local supermarket is still charging 12 dollars a dozen for a certain fancy brand of eggs that used to be like a dollar more a dozen typically. It's just principal now lol.

6 moI avoid Road Runner Sports because I go tired of their constant stupid commercials on Youtube on my Smart Television. And the lame and insulting Baerskin Tactical commercials turned me off even trying their products.

6 mo@Kelly6 I think the answer is no because most things I buy in local stores, and that makes my options very limited.
00 ReplyNo Netflix. Too much woke content. There are a lot of streaming options today and more coming.
