What things have you stopped purchasing or using because they now cost more than you're willing to pay?

Recently, I uninstalled a frame grabber app. It's a simple tool that just helps grab frames from a video while keeping the original quality. But they really started charging for it... 💀 Like sure, it was convenient, but I'd rather just use a video editing software to grab the screenshots. Won't be as quick but it will be free!

Also, I don't use a lot of subscription services nowadays because of how much they cost. The prices just keep increasing too... Like even though I have enough money for them I'd rather just watch free entertainment...

Anything that has a subscription I don't buy. Spending money regularly is way more damaging to your income than making one time purchases because you're reducing your potential savings by a fixed amount every month and if you have multiple subscriptions it adds up of course. I don't make that much money but I have 30 k saved up it's just because I don't spend much. The only things I spend on is food ( I overpay for food sometimes to spoil myself) tech stuff like pc headset etc. But I buy them and use them for a long time.

And traveling but I haven't been able to travel in a while this December is the first time I'm leaving the country since February of 2019. I usually splurge a bit in other countries because Switzerland has one of the strongest currencies in the world and highest cost of living so often things are super cheap in comparison in other countries so I stay in a fancy hotel or I plan on buying a lot of clothes when I go to india, I pay for friends or aquaintances stuff more often things like that. It feels really good when you have enough to be secure and then you can splurge a bit but it won't really affect your savings that much.

It wasn't that long ago that two people died and dozens got really sick due to a Sizzlers Steakhouse. The chef that was preparing the food, was slicing watermelon with the same knife he used to slice raw steak. I hope you would no better! Lol

Sizzler? I thought those all closed years ago? I haven't seen one in a long time. Lettuce. especially Romaine, can give you E-Coli. Turns out cattle yards are across the way from fields of leafy greens. Runoff from the cattle manure gets in the canal used to irrigate the fields. That can cause E-Coli. Watch the 2 series on Netflix - Poison and Rotten. It is about all that is harmful to us in the foods we eat.

@Billlewis Yes! Everyone wants fajitas or tacos with all the fixings but nobody wants to chop the shit up! If you buy it already chopped, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes... it's like 30 bucks! I have whole tomatoes and peppers from a year ago! It's ridiculous how fucking lazy we've become! At least me, anyway.

TV dinners have been here since micro waves hit the market. Easy and fast to make but not always healthy, and the portions are small. Making your own is always best and you usually get some good left overs. The cost of fast food is getting ridiculous. It's much cheaper to make it yourself - and no tipping needed.

I definitely agree with the subscription services… it’s all too much. too many of them and too expensive.

Also I think the price of cocoa butter has risen and that’s why I never buy it now, unless it’s on sale but even then I’m hesitant.

I usually don't buy sushi at the mall anymore because a portion for one person at the mall costs the same amount as a portion for 3 for 4 people at the Chinese grocery store. I don't mind sushi buffets cause I can eat equal to my financial investment in the meal but I don't buy sushi a la cart anymore, only family size sushi dinners now.

Febreze plug-ins. A couple years ago I'd get a pack of three for six bucks. Now, they're like 11, 12 bucks! Fuck that noise! My wife still buys them and it pisses me off.
