Felt it enter my mouth and knew instinctively exactly what it was. The texture was undeniable.

This happens a lot with bugs when riding, but not spiders. Come on now. *shivers*

I used to drink Folgers coffee habitually, but a day came when I found 4 spiders in the coffee maker... dead, but all up in there where the brew is made. I looked it up online and it is normal for that to happen.

Well fuck that... I grind my beans now or buy something better than Folgers.

Fuck you Folgers coffee.

No problem. I guess it's like that law that allows a certain ammount of rat hair to be in penut butter.

What I don't understand is they're whole big spiders in the coffee and the coffee is ground... logic says the spiders would be ground up in it too unless they got there after the coffee was ground up.

It's curious what attracts the spiders in the coffee process. I thought it would repel them. Is it the storage containers prior to packaging? Or something else

In the 40 years of drinking Folgers coffee ☕ I have never found a spider in my coffee.
Folgers classic roast is the best coffee I have ever tasted and will not switch.
Even if there was a little ole spider in it. I'd just take it out. No big deal.

@sage2021 To each their own. I too drank Folgers for years, and I was thinking it was a particular batch that I just happened to get. A batch that had a bunch of those mini-tarantula looking spiders, the ones that have the shape of a fiddle back except about 5 times the size and solid black.

It's strange because if you look up if coffee is for spiders, it's used as a repellent... but then I found some articles that explained why there are spiders in there. Thus my rat hair in peanut butter comparison. But you do you... the articles said the spider coffee is harmless to drink.

I'm going to switch to grinding my own beans... had a grinder on hand because I used to grow psilocybe cubensis for capsules. At first I switched to starbucks, but started reading the fine print. I'm very anti-sugar, and Starbucks slips molasses in with their coffee grounds. At least Folgers didn't do that.

One day, I was eating grapes and just HAPPENED to bite one in half for the hell of it (because who splits grapes in half when eating them?) and the half that wasn't in my mouth had this black maggot or worm wriggling in the center. I spit the other half out so fast and that turned me off from grapes for years. Even now, I'm still hesitant when eating grapes.

Yeah. Much less bad than other peoples. But I had eaten a personal pail of strawberry ice cream. Later on, I felt something in my mouth and had thought it was just a piece of strawberry. But no, it was a strawberry leaf.

I was chewing on nuts one time and one of the nuts had a shell piece that was not properly filtered out by the manufacturer when I bought the food bag and I ended up weakening my teeth implant by chewing on it.

A couple of years ago, I poured raisin bran cereal into a bowl and added milk.
I ate a spoonful, then looked down at the bowl and saw a bunch of cupboard moth larva wriggling around in it.
I haven't eaten cereal since.
