It wasn't worth the hassle. Oh yea then there was paying for a membership just for the privilege of shopping there.

3 moThe opposite... it's really relaxing for me. Don't get me wrong... I'm anti-social and don't like people, so getting through the entrance and the exit annoy the shit out of me. But once inside it opens up and I don't feel like I'm on top of people or they're on top of me.
So, once inside and I'm just perusing around, up and down the aisles... it feels really casual compared to cramped up grocery stores with all kinds of shit going on around me or getting stuck in a aisle behind old or fat people.
I also have a list, I know what I'm there for. Sometimes I'll impulse buy, I'll admit that... I bought 2 of those oversized bean bags that are filled with memory foam. Now pretty much everybody in my family take turns falling asleep on those things. But the food items, I don't fuck around with any impulses there.
I usually finish a trip with the pizza or hot dogs after checkout and then it's off to the parking lot. Getting the fuck out of that parking lot without hitting an old or fat person is probably what stresses me out the most.

3 moIt's more disappointing than stressful, except finding parking.
I live alone. Costco has loads of foods for people with families, not for one and two person households. So, it has limited appeal for me. I occasionally go with a cousin to get detergent or the few things I can use in large quantities.
Also, you need to be able to store large-quantity items. I'm limited on that too.00 ReplyI find shopping stressful no matter where you go anymore. Because you're trying to look at what you're buying. Nowadays, there's so many chemicals and everything. There are so many foods that are not made in America anymore. They're all being shipped here from different countries, so I try to pay attention to all that.

3 moNot if the others stay out of my way. Like any other store, I'm only going to get what is on sale, and some of their products prices are downright high! Seasonal clothing is usually at a good price point, as is underwear and linens. Plus you just MUST take home a cooked chicken- $4.99 for 10 meals worth of protein! Such a steal. Plus a tank of gas.
00 ReplyHalf half actually. Half yes in that the website sucks when it says yes the product you want is there when in fact it’s not. Also depending on the time of day and what day you go, it can be filled to the gills inside and parking lot. Half no, usually I can find what I’m looking for.
00 ReplyDon't have one at school or back home. Never been in one. We have Sam's Club.

We don't have Costco but we have gigantic Auchan it's like 1 km long and 800m wide. I'm young and fit but after pushing a shopping cart over kilometers I'm done.
10 ReplyI love it more than I do shopping at the grocery store
Take my time and skip busy aisles until they clear out
I am tall and can make my way through it at a good pace when needed
00 ReplyOn a weekend sams club/costco are a nightmare so yes very stressful. I try to shop there at times when I know its empty and peaceful
10 ReplyI don't go -- it's too far (four miles but it takes a half-hour minimum) and too crowded and we don't need mass quantities of anything. It's not worth the trip to save a few dollars.

3 moI've never been to a Costco since the nearest one to me is like, almost a 100 miles away but I'm sure if I went there it would be stressful.
00 Reply823 opinions shared on Shopping & Gifts topic. I have not been to Costco in 20 years because I go to BJs now. I do not find it stressful. Its pretty painless. I recently bought a big tv and it was easy.

Anonymous(45 Plus)3 moI've never actually shopped there. And I've only been in there once. There wasn't a whole lot of people. What would there be to be stressed about?
10 Reply@queenofcardio I don't like the huge crowds, and the congested parking. Yes, I am not hard up for a 'deal' when shopping

3 moWe don't have that on here. Shopping in general especially on first 10 days of the month can be tired some and challenging due to rush.
