Would you buy a toothbrush camera?

You can now get an AI-powered toothbrush with built-in camera. Not only does it give you a detailed view of your teeth on your smartphone, it is powered by AI and shoots mouthwash between your teeth while you brush, reducing the need to floss.

The toothbrush costs US$499. One catch is that you have to use special non-foaming toothpaste that doesn't block camera. No problem, though, the same company that sells the toothbrush will sell you the required toothpaste for US$11.

Would you buy this toothbrush... and toothpaste?

Besides you just know in 6 months it'll be impossible to get the special toothpaste anywhere. Nor do I want the hassle of holding my phone or the video some how becoming the property of the company.

No doubt we'll see other orifices being probed with it.

I always went back to manual and for good reasons - I usually buy a new manual every so many months 😋 @AviatorTom and @Abbycado when you further hit closer to my age or late 20s, you'll see what I mean lol

No I'll stick with my orsl-B electric toothbrush and regular cleaning st my dentist office. My insurance pays for the cleaning and the total results with this method are excellent. 499 USD would be Lot more in CAD and who knows whst kind of tariff Donny has on it.

It sounds interesting and I might buy it depending on the resolution of the camera. It's actually pretty expensive but in the long run it might save you a lot of money. Definitely worth the second look.

I use a wood and horse hair brush. I prefer to mitigate my exposure to microplastics. Electric toothbrushes also emit emfs which aren't good for you.
