What is the best gift for you?

Just feeling loved and genuinely appreciated… I’m a sucker for the little thoughtful things …. when someone remembers what I like or don’t like, and does something just to make me smile.
That means more to me than anything expensive.

I like gift cards the most. I had somebody buy me jelly beans once and it was a nice gift, but not my style. I had another person buy me children's toys and once again, it was not the type of children's toy I like to have in my house. And I had somebody buy me art supplies one time, but it was a type of art, I do not like to do. It did not go to waste, I gave the gift I got to a family friend that I thought would enjoy the gift more than I did since I did not want that gifted money to go to waste.

Thoughtful and personal ones. I'm not materialistic, so I don't need anything grand or expensive. Little things and trinkets make me happy, especially when they show that someone knows me and pays attention to the little things… It could be something as simple as a mug, a notebook or a handwritten note (those make me emotional lol). It's really the thought behind the gift that matters to me, not the gift itself
