I heard this quote today. I know it can't be given a blanket application, but according to your judgment, experiences and observations - do you agree with the quote? Why or why not, and to what extent?

Maybe it's more true than untrue.

But I personally want to be wanted. I don't especially care about being loved. I love getting compliments on my looks and being found sexually attractive. If someone compliments me on my personality and intelligence, it doesn't do much for me.

I think that isn't true. Women want to be loved too. I think women care more about being loved actually. I wish men were better at listening, not being abusive, etc. (these all add to the relationship, and therefore, add to love) actually, based on what I've seen on this site.

I would say it's the other way around. Women are more emotional about love and feelings. So, they want to be loved. Men are more into getting someone, but not necessarily for love. I'm not saying that no man cares about being loved. I want to be loved and have someone to love.

I don't think it's good to want to be wanted though. I feel that that's like saying, that you're never satisfied. Just one person at a time is best, I think. I think wanting to be wanted, might end up going to far, causing cheating, etc.
