For the most part yes , but it’s always been that way , but unfortunately it’s just harder to find these days because most people in today’s’ society are selfish people , that only want what they think is best for themselves , without factoring in other peoples’ feelings period , So many people say they want love , but when they finally get it , they end up ruining it because they are selfish people thinking they deserve better . For love to grow between 2 people , both people need to remove selfishness for each other , if one of them can’t remove selfishness , then they will be back to square one when they end up single again. People need to realize there is no such thing as a perfect person , no one on this planet is perfect period , so if you can’t accept someone’s’ flaws , don’t expect them to accept yours’ it needs to go both ways. I blame social media for a lot of the reasons relationships have took a turn for the worst , by filling people’s heads with constant nonsense. Social media was designed as a money making platform to suck us in to make money , All the memes you see about relationships are put there by divorce attorneys to make money. If we as people actually put are phones down and looked at the world around us , they will realize social media means absolutely nothing. So most people want love but sadly it’s a lot harder to find from all the nonsense that has been drilled into all of our heads

I think it's always been that way. Now it's different because people know so much. They know about oxytocin and evolution, genetics. I think it's taken away the romantic veneer that older less aware generations had. I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily. Maybe that's just us growing up. There are other technological ways to reproduce at what ever rate is needed at the time.

I believe a lot of things that bring happiness are not good for you such as potato chips or buffalo chicken wings etc...

And I would say there really many things people think bring happiness that make them miserable.

I have seen men marry women they find beautiful or intelligent or charming and then end up emotionally abused and drained for the remaining years of their life.

I also heard of women who marry very good looking and intelligent men and then get yelled at every hour of their marriage unless they are out in public somewhere where they could get arrested for domestic violence.

Sometimes the plain potato is the only one that isn't poisoned.
