"Some people are not meant to find love". Do you agree?

Question

It's the opposite of what most people would tell you which is "Everyone is meant to find love". Do you believe in this or that? And why?

When I say love, I mean being loved dearly by someone whether it's a friend or a lover. (Not speaking of parent love though).

i disagree with that statement strongly.it is up to you if you want it. a very small percentage of people in the world do not look for love and can live life happily without it.
just wait and i'll pray that your prince charming comes soon anyway :)
at the same time, i agree with this statement, "life is not fair". bad things happen to good people.
as for me, i acknowledge God in my life. i trust in God and nothing do i worry.. and everything in my life is in order.. at first i thought not. i know that no matter what, God is in my life and He has the final say.
you know, both my Special Beloved and I have not dated anyone before, and that we are so compatible with each other. coincidence? easily not but i tell you, it was a number of commitment. it was the days i said no to girls, it was the times i didn't go out with hot girls nor let them come back to my place. God listens to everybody so tell Him.
the movies make it seems everybody is to have that "love at first sight" to have love. no. love is a responsibility and an act. so is everybody in the world willing to commit? i think not, that is why not everybody can love the same way. not everybody is meant to have love when not everybody can give love.
if the whole world can give love then there wouldn't be any war or disagreement. i think you are a really special person and that your guy will really feel lucky to have you :) . i have number of friends who are older than you, and do not worry about this.
i know how it feels, i've been through high school and college when so many of them are dating and breaking off, cheating and hooking up and i'm like some of the few who didn't date yet no one thought i was a loser, never. however, to be loved and the ability to love someone strongly is a very rare gift. to have someone loving you strongly is what everybody wants.. we need to be able to qualify in them. sometimes i think it is good to have romance a little later after your studies. it can be very distractng

There are certain things that are meant to be and those don't change no matter how hard or how strategically we try :)

Best to accept it, makes it easier on us and everyone around us.

Finding love is not the thing, finding love the way we want, perceive and expect it matters. Love is found in many forms, but all those forms don't go well with everyone :)

I find a lot of love around me and not one really goes well for me and those that did never stay around for long lol. Hence, I don't debate it but accept it and watch along as life proceeds :)

Hmmmm...

There is an intangible blueprint dropping all of us in and out of our possibilities. So, it's really hard to say. Imagine the inner mechanics of a clock and replace the screws and metal pieces with human life , memories, future images and the wooden panels with paths all working together to trigger an intricate, divine order. It takes so much complexity to lead to what appears the simplest moment. Timing is a tricky thing. It's all about timing, in my eyes and nothing else. It's not about how good of a person you are because amazing people grow old and never experience what it is to truly be loved. While rotten people who cheat, lie, and hurt the one they "love" may get the chance to experience unconditional love. Due to timing, some people die before they even meet the one whom no one else will ever love better. Then that one experiences nothing but substitutes of their true life partner for the rest of their days. It's all about timing.

Seems childish. lol, but to address your comment, being confident and assertive will get you a date, but it doesn't mean it will get you someone to fall in love with. A substitue for a life partner? Yes. But someone who can actually sincerely look you in the eye and say "No one's ever gonna love you better than I do" No. Finding someone to love who actually loves you back is not nearly so basic as "being confident and assertive"

I don't think love is something every is automatically guaranteed just for being alive. Love takes work, it takes courage and trust, it takes compromise and sensitivity. There are many people who never get to that point in their lives.

Love can be expressed and felt in a hundred different ways.

If you feel the cool breeze flowing against your body in a garden filled with flowers. You feel peaceful. You feel that you're being loved by nature. Now you do you think you've found love? Yes. Since you're "convinced" that nature has been kind to you and loves you.

When a child is pulled out of the mothers womb and when the mother breast feeds him and takes care of him. The child feels secure and happy. The child is quiet. The child feels loved.

I can keep giving tons of examples on how we humans have received love in so many different ways. We humans only see attraction and sexual gratification mostly as love. But we are unaware that we're being surrounded by love right from the beginning.

hmmm... I just don't like how that's worded. its not that some people aren't 'meant' for love, its just that some people either give up or think there's no hope, so they don't try, or maybe they do try, but then give up later.

It's more like 'some people do not find love.' just take out that 'meant' business and I would agree

"Meant" suggests that it's some automatic system that guarantees a certain value. Both are lies. No one is "meant" to find love. Everyone is simply given the opportunity and can squander it as they see fit.

I agree, but I don't think it's predestined. I just think that the fact that love (real unconditional love) is so special is because not everyone can have it.

I agree with Ultima in that I don't like the wording. To better articulate how I feel about it, I would say "not everyone can/will experience love" or something similar. "Meant" just implies a degree of fate/destiny that doesn't really sit well with me.

I don't think it has anything to do with fate. We're constantly presented with all sorts of options and we make decisions based on what we want at any given time. I don't think it's hard to find someone who will love you in their particular way, it's just hard to find someone that matches you, who can love you in the way you need it and who you can feel just as lucky to be with as they feel lucky to be with you. That's uncommon or so it would seem these days with all the divorces...

I think everyone can find love if they really want to. They may have blocked themselves for any number of reasons. If they put aside things that are blocking them, they will find love much easier.

Some people aren't meant to find love I think its true. If it wasn't, you wouldn't have  so many men on here talking about  not being able to get a date.  A guy who's naturally socially awkward and shy almost has no chance of finding love but a woman who's naturally socially awkward and shy?    If she's like that , it would never stop her from getting dates or even getting married.

No one is "meant" to find anyone. You may have soulmates, but in that case you have a couple of the all around the globe and running into one of them is nothing but pure coincidence. Some people are lucky enough to meet them, some are not.
