Is Disney’s ‘Frozen’ a MGTOW movie too, not just a feminist movie?

Disney’s ‘Frozen’ is being heralded as a great movie and the most feminist movie that Disney has ever made. However, some are claiming that this is also Disney’s first MGTOW movie. I'm not sure, really. I mean there's a lot of things that we don't know about Kristoff. Has he always been an outcast? Is he just introverted and/or shy? Is he just a bit of a lunatic loner? Who knows. It's really impossible to tell if he deliberately chose that kind of lifestyle for himself, or if it just happened to turn out like that, since the plot never really gives us much back story on him.
I understand why people think it has an MGTOW theme to it, and yeah, I agree that it's different from other Disney movies. But I feel like this theme also might be a bit hyped up, like the supposed "homosexual theme" that the movie also contained. I don't know why people keep spazzing about the sauna scene. It lasted for like 2 seconds and it's impossible to say if it actually implied that the shopkeeper is gay or not. Yeah yeah, he acts stereotypically feminine and whatnot, but I wouldn't say that his high pitched voice and that 2 second sauna clip is reason enough to say that the movie had some "gay themes". It didn't.
Went a little off topic there but oh well. I kinda feel the same about the "MGTOW theme". As I said, there are a lot of things that we don't know about Kristoff and his reasons for being the way he is. It's impossible to truly tell if Disney really wanted him to be an MGTOW character, or if he just kind of comes across as one just because of his introverted personality. So in my opinion there's not enough proof, only fans claiming that "IT TOTALLY MEANS THIS AND THAT!1!!" which goes for both the MGTOW theme and the gay theme.

And agree on the shopkeeper, you could think it means gay, but you can also claim certain movies are all dreams, etc. There's one man a good bit younger than the shopkeeper, three girls, and one woman who looks like a mom. So I don't think shopkeeper is gay.

It's not actually purely feminist. It does have messages of female empowerment, but why does that have to be a "feminist" thing? Why can't it just be seen as Disney actually writing a reasonable female character who doesn't need to have a romantic interest, and as them actually recognizing that the whole falling in love in an hour thing is stupid? And besides, that's not even the main message of Frozen. There is that but it also relates a lot to depression and mental illness in general. And the whole LGBT stuff. As for the whole MGTOW thing, I highly doubt that that was in any way intentional. Just because there's a decent male character doesn't mean it has to be MGTOW stuff. The main point the guy in your video brings up is the lack of strong romance plotline. That's just as much feminism as it is MGTOW, as it's just about the fact that romance plotlines aren't actually necessary to make a film good, even if there are male and female protagonists. Lastly, "most feminist movie that Disney has ever made"? Have we all forgotten Mulan? And how about Brave?

I think it just supports free choice for all people involved. It is a fantastic movie. The soundtrack is awesome and the characters are hilarious. Ana reminds me of me in personality and Kristoff is like my boyfriend. The two of us were watching it and we were having a riot.

I never understood the idea of "Men Going Their Own Way" - what does that even mean? Haven't they essentially always done whatever the hell they want anyway?

Well, basically, it means any man who dissociates from women, whether he's heard the term MGTOW or not. The more he dissociates, the more MGTOW he is. Frozen does appear to have MGTOW themes in that sense. Chivalry and romance are centuries, if not millennia, of Western tradition.

Hahaha I just watched that video...whoever the voice is in it...he has the douchiest voice I have ever heard lmao. I don't think feminism or MGTOW are actually things nowadays...it's called people being independent. That's it.

Oh, I don't need to see that YouTube vid to see the MTGOW themes. Both the older sister and the ice salesman show a lot of that. "Let it go" itself sounds just as easily like MTGOW type of thing, as easily as feminist.

Elsa is, to paraphrase, shouting, "Forget abiding by their rules, playing their game, forcing myself to do things I don't want to, trying to fit some perfect mold! I'll run away from the responsibility and do wonderful on my home--I'll build my own castle. They complained about the cold? It never bothered me!"

That's MTGOW to the core. Tired of playing someone else's game, forcing yourself to be something you don't want to, and deciding to ditch responsibility and just do awesome on your own/do your own thing.

I didn't watch Frozen for years because the evangelical community was positive it had LGBTQ messaging and for once I didn't investigate for myself. I finally watched it and was shocked that anyone came away with that idea. Frozen is a movie, which means it's art, which means people can interpret it however they want. But what I saw was a really healthy message. Elsa was not taught how to manage her emotions, only to suppress them and be defended against vulnerability. When she was exposed as having emotions, she didn't have the skills to control them, gives up trying and it spirals out of control, causing even greater damage. In the end, she feels like she is worthless and horrible because of the destruction her powerful emotions have caused (because no one bothered to train her in the skills to manage them, mainly because they didn't have the skills themselves). But with her sister's persistent love and acceptance, the storm is calmed and she learns that choosing love is the key to safe emotional expression. Watch it again, and you'll see that every time Elsa has an emotion like fear, anxiety, pain, or rage, her ice powers go crazy. When she has an emotion like sadness or grief, it becomes cold and still. When she has an emotion like joy, love, happiness, etc., it produces ice skating, powdery snow, and Olaf.
