I thought I'd do a take on the women of Wisteria Lane, so please list your favorite housewife.

1. Susan Delfino played by Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-8)

Spouse: Mike Defino (who got killed in Season Eight) Ex Husband: Carl Mayer (also deceased) Children: Julie Mayer and MJ Delfino.

2. Lynette Scavo played by Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-8 )

Spouse: Tom Scavo. Children: Preston, Porter, Parker, Penny and Paige.

3. Bree Van de Kamp Hodge played by Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-8)

Spouse: Trip Weston (began dating in Season 8 and found out they eventually married in the Season 8 finale). Ex Husbands: Rex Van de Kamp (deceased) and Orson Hodge (presumed dead) Children: Andrew and Danielle.

4. Gabrielle Solis played by Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-8)

Spouse: Carlos Solis. Ex Husband: Victor Lang (deceased). Children: Juanita and Celia.

5. Edie Britt played by Nicollette Sheridan (Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-5)

Spouse: Dave Williams. Ex Husbands: Umberto Rothwell and Charles McLain. Children: Travers McLain.

6. Katherine Mayfair played by Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives Seasons 4-6 with an appearence in Season 8)

Ex Husbands: Wayne Davis and Adam Mayfair. Children: Dylan Mayfair.

7. Renee Perry played by Vanessa Williams (Desperate Housewives Seasons 7 & 8)

Spouse: Ben Faulkner. Ex Husband: Doug Perry.

8. Julie Mayer played by Andrea Bowen (Desperate Housewives Seasons 1-4 with appearences in Seasons 5-8)

Parents: Susan Delfino and Carl Mayer. Sibling: MJ Delfino. Father of her baby: Porter Scavo. Children: Sophie Scavo.

technically, julie is not a housewife, and doesn't stay on wisteria lane...
edie was my favourite, without a doubt. she was strong-willed, caring, protective of her friends. i always felt sorry for her, because the other housewives never spoke to her properly. she, however, always went out of her way to help them

She doesn't have to be a housewife to be on the list, she was Susans daughter and main character a good portion of the time. Hence her being on the list. And, she did stay on wisteria lane. Where do you think she lived all that time growing up as a teen?

I thought Teri was great. I watched it when it first came on, then stopped. I think Bree was interesting, but I didn't see many episodes focusing on her. Eva's character was so funny. I loved the episode when she tried to take up acting.

I pick Katherine Mayfair. I never watched the show but she is the prettiest out of them all in my opinion.
