as for Harry potter, not feeling the Ginny one. Maybe the Cho quote would have been better, it fits that lovey feeling/crushy feeling better - e. g. I really like you Harry.. or butterfly/stomach flips he gets.
Another one from Star trek, Riker said something about the moon in my night which is pretty romantic.
I guess you have to read the book. So without giving away the ending I would explain it as, the couple didn't last forever but it felt like forever meaning, not all forevers last forever.
I have read the books multiple times and love them. Whilst I don't mind Ginny, didn't really feel that her and Harry belonged. I know some do, and some don't - it's personal preference I guess. I think the no camp really thought Cho and he had heaps of chemistry and well in the books (and to some extent in the films) you got that tingle when they interacted and willed them on.
I don't really get the Ginny thing, it doesn't really fit. I think Ginny actually might have matched Neville tbh. Maybe. Tbh I thought Neville was a better friend to Harry than Ron. Hermione was certainly his best and most loyal friend. In terms of potential lover, from school, I thought Cho was pretty and also a good personal fit for him.
Otherwise, I guess he might have met people outside of school right?
I wear my mums wedding ring to remind me of this. She was engaged to my dad for three years then married six months. Yet their love for each other is still evident. Broken, bruised and damaged, never to be repaired, but still there.
