I know that not many people here like anime.

But I will write anyway.

This take lists the anime that were so good

that they were dubbed in more than 7 languages.

Death Note

Death note is a mind bender.

The story is about Lite Yagami, who finds a book called 'Death Note' which gives the user the power to kill anyone just by thinking about the person and writing the name on the book.

Our character develops a 'God Complex' and becomes the villain.

Pokemon

The franchise began as a pair of video games for the original Game Boy that were developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. It now spans video games, trading card games, animated television shows and movies, comic books, and toys.

Also pokemon is so controversial that some Christian, Jewish, Muslim Orgs and PETA found it to be very offensive.

Pokemon deserves a dedicated my take.

ShinChan

Shinnosuke Nohara is a cheeky little kid, famous for causing trouble wherever he is.

This anime series is amazingly humorous.

In Asia, every school kid knows this name.

However, there is an urban rumour saying the writer, Yoshito Usui, was inspired by the story of a kid, named Shinnosuke, who died while saving his sister from a car accident.

SailorMoon

Sailor moon is a shojo manga. Meaning, it was aimed at young girls.

The series follows the adventures of a young schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino as she transforms into the titular character to search for a magical artifact called the "Legendary Silver Crystal". During her journey, she leads a diverse group of comrades, the Sailor Soldiers Sailor Guardians in later editions—as they battle against villains to prevent the theft of the Silver Crystal and the destruction of the Solar System.

One Piece

The series begins with the execution of Gol D. Roger, a man known as the King of the Pirates. Just before his death, Roger announces that his treasure, the One Piece, will be available to anyone who finds it, beginning the Great Pirate Era. As a result, countless pirates set out to the Grand Line to look for the treasure.

Twenty-two years later, Monkey D. Luffy, a young man inspired by his childhood idol and powerful pirate "Red Haired" Shanks, sets off on a journey from the East Blue sea to find the One Piece and proclaim himself as the King of the Pirates.

This series has produced a stunning 778 episodes since 1999.

Doremon

Kids love this one.

Nobita is a young boy who suffers from poor grades and frequent bullying. In order to improve the life of his descendants, the robotic cat Doraemon is sent back in time by one of those descendants to protect and guide Nobita. Doraemon has a pocket from which he produces items known as "gadgets", which range from toy and medicines, to technology from the future.

Avatar: The last Airbender

This one is actually an American anime, aired on Nickelodeon. One can argue if it is really anime or not.

Nevertheless, it is known worldwide.

Cowboy Bebop

Considered one of the best anime ever.

Naruto

Naruto is considered one of the best action anime. Watch it. I'll not explain.

Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball is THE Anime!

Dragon Ball is inspired by the 16th century Ming novel called 'Journey to the West'.

The anime has 4 series,

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z,

Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT.

The best of all however is DBZ.

I've watched all of these except Shinchan and Doremon. I only got halfway through One Piece, but I think that counts enough to say I watched it. Cowboy Bebop is pure anime the way it should be and I loved Death Note too. I know I didn't finish Naruto, but I read as many books as my library had and got as far as the English sub site I was watching it on had. Sailor Moon and Pokemon obviously deserve spots on this list. And I did like Avatar, so I'll let you keep it

Where's Bleach, Inuyasha, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Soul Eater? Gundam and Code Geisse deserve honorable mentions as well. And there's nothing out there to compare to anything Miyazaki mad

Yes, by far, Dragon Ball Z was the best series out of the Dragon Ball saga.

You forgot Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist. But I see you're just pointing out Anime that have been popular over many languages. I'm not so sure about the two I listed. But good take!

Thank you Oldchemical. I got goosebumps reading this take. I'll complete Pokémon and DBZ and I'm curious to watch Death Note, One piece, Cowboy Bebop and Naruto. Shinchan helped me in fighting with my introversion and made me a more open guy. And Doremon is a great stress reliever.

The aim of my life is to earn enough money to give to my children so that they could live their life however they want so that I'd lock myself inside my house and watch anime till I die.

@lord_chilled Well.. I watch every db super's episode. And yeah, sometimes I get frustrated by having to wait a week or sometimes even two weeks for the next episode.. But I just can't wait for the whole series to end so I could watch it all at once.
Watch GT, If you find the beginning boring, just go straight to baby saga and watch till the end.

If you are talking about how it influenced the US market you have to include Gundam Wing. It was in a time block with DBZ and Sailor Moon and routinely beat them in ratings. It was Cartoon Network's most popular show in its history and held the record for a long time after its abrupt cancellation after 9/11. It's had as much or a bigger impact of spreading Anime to Western audiences than any other show.

I actually agree with suggesting Bleach. I think Bleach was very influencial for shaping a lot of the newest generation of anime fans' taste.
