Opossums- they're not as bad as you think!

We all know what an opossum is like- a hissing, infested wild creature, known to be more of a nasty pest than anything. Who knew we were wrong the whole time?

This very common woodland creature, thriving especially in North America, is hated particularly for its looks. Admittedly, they can look quite scraggly and gross at times. But ticks are much worse.

TICKS. We all dread THAT word, especially with the ever-increasing amount of human deaths from diseases such as Lyme Disease. They're gross. After all, you wouldn't want anyone sucking your blood besides maybe Edward Cullen. This cute little guy promises to eat those nasty ticks so you don't have to!

Possums are marsupials, and honestly, they can be cute. Just look at this mama with all her babies on her back. They seem sort of like a mix between rats, alpacas, and lizards. Or something.

So whenever you see an opossum, leave it alone! They frighten easily and can get stressed out with unnecessary human contact. But perhaps the next time you see an opossum, give it a salute as recognition for helping humankind by eating yummy (to them) diseas-filled bugs.

When I lived in a house, they shared the stray cats' food all the time. Never gave me any problems. Just scared me coz they're so ugly.

I used to be frightened of Opossums thanks to my mama.. I mean I still am kinda scare of them, and I now that I look at them, they do look pretty feral, and weirdly ferocious.. LOL.. But, this take did make me see the light.. ( A little Bit)..
