Simply put, Kendall Jenner wore a Slayer shirt and then that same evening she tweeted "I don't understand how people can listen to heavy metal" or some shit.....
What do you think of Slayer's response ?
It got me thinking, do what we wear and show to others have that much meaning ? In my opinion yes, for example, I don't like Drake or Deadmau5, so I may find a shirt with those artists and the shirt may be stylish but I ain't gonna buy it let alone wear it : because I am not a fan of these artists. If I wear them, people will start thinking that I am a fan, or that I listen to them.
It is thanks to clothing styles that we, as individuals, recognize people who are like us and thus allow to find a group of people to hang out with.
You don't get the same vibe from this girl and this girl
The point being, why wear something if you don't know what it means or what it stands for ?
Let me give you a simple example. I'm a metalhead and a rocker (not much of a surprise there for those who know me), I was walking down the street after my day of internship and saw this very attractive girl wearing a Nirvana shirt. So I'm thinking "she likes Nirvana, she has good tastes in music" so I gathered the courage to walk up to her and asked "Nice shirt ;) what's your favorite song from them?"....................... her answer was "What are you talking about ?" I answered "well your shirt :/" kind of confused she simply said "What the hell are you talking about ? This is just some logo dude"........................... I just facepalmed so hard in my mind it kind of hurt at this point.
This is my first MyTake please be brutally honest
