Overrated Makeup Brands

These are some of those makeup brands who pack on the price, but definitely don't deliver.

Beware - don't buy products from these brands: you will lose themoney and gain nothing in return.

*For those on this list that are actually cheap - they're overrated in a sense where you'll pay little, but you'll gain even less - so a waste of money. There's a reason why some things are cheap - they're terrible...

IT Cosmetics -just...not worth it

Innisfree...it seems they're awesome (for skincare), but for makeup you don't get any payoff from a lot of their products!

Josie Maran - just...overrated (especially for the price - up to 100 dollars).

She - cheap and bad quality.

Physician’s Formula - no payoff at all - slides right off the skin.

I always just use drugstore makeup, because I don't want to spend that much money on makeup. I always use Maybelline, because they always have products for my skin colour and the quality is pretty good. Other than that I also use Catrice, which is very cheap and good quality.

Oh, I love Catrice! But I always check on the label if it's made in China. If it is I don't buy it.
Catrice products are partially made in Poland, Germany, Italy and China - as far as I'm aware...

From what I've experienced, MAC make up is kinda shitty too. The lipliners and lipsticks never stay put the whole day, the concealer breaks me out..

Current make-up I love:
-Foundation from the bodyshop
-concealer from a dutch drugstore brand called essence
-Anastasia eye palette
-Eye pencil from catrice

still looking for a good mascara tho, so if anyone has recommendations?

I agree, It can be so gimmicky, so can Charlotte Tillbury, when people try SO hard to sell their product as miraculously life changing, it makes me take a step back. I got the It cosmetics naturally pretty palate one, it doesn't even come close to my Lorac pro 1. The shadows aren't creamy, some have low color pay off and the black (I value a solid black shadow) is like ashy, not really black. Lorac black, boom, perfect.

simple put no crap on at all and do not feel the need to masquarade like a clown. i know i dont. i'm 28 and have the shining skin of a 14 year old. i also eat clean and dont smoke so i hav no probs.

@Capricornation good for you. i wouldn't throw a cent of my hard earned money for it. plus most of my classmates that were putting it religiously since they were teens, their faces are full of digging holes from the chemicals and are pale as hell.

@Capricornation me and my sister that keep ourselves natural everybody keeps asking us whats our secret. we never even had acne or teenage hormone zits ec. we have smooth baby face and clear skin. well we tell them, we dont smoke, not drink, not much night life, and we never put chemicals on our face. just wash it simple water two times a day. thats all.

I use Elf and Sephora eyeshadows. Just bought the Peach palette for Two Faced and a NARS undereye concealer. The most I've ever spent but I had gift cards.

I've never heard of these makeup brands before. I think Flormar is overrated, at least where I'm from. Their cosmetics formulas never work on me, I hate the quality.
