For all of you who asked, here it is
Rather than messaging everyone who was interested individually I thought I’d just put this together.
And yes, I am well aware that 99.9% of you don’t give the furry crack of a rat’s ass, but too bad, this isn’t for you.
My plan -
I’ve been talking about giving the Redstang a serious horsepower upgrade for almost 4 years now but hadn’t got around to it. Bought a 351W block a while ago, was gonna go the stroker/nitrous route, but that was just too pricey. Putting a turbo on the 302 was even worse. I knew the Chevy LS swap into these Mustangs was very popular, and when I found a few guys just down the road from me that had done it I settled on the turbo LS. I’d like to get 800 horsepower to the wheels, but will probably start around 600 and turn it up as I get the bugs worked out.
Need new paint, wheels and tires, end result will probably be something like this -
Looks like this at the moment -
Car needs a bit of a redo, found a little rust on the hatch and rear quarter panels. Mostly just need to beef it up to handle +800hp. Stripped out all the weight I could and will be putting in a roll cage.

What I’ve done so far -
Picked up a running 6.0 LS (the good one). Tore it down, bearings and rings were fine. Had the heads cleaned up and ported. New valves and springs, new cam (.625 lift, 240/248 duration)
Picked up a TH400 (3spd auto trans), gonna beef it up and put in a transbrake.

On the to do list -
Have a turbo on order (88mm) and the piping to hook it up, still need to order fuel pumps and all the goodies to make that work. Just test fit the engine and trans tonight, made a plan for the motor mounts.

Once the engine is in the biggest pain in the ass will be wiring it all up. Wiring is my kyptonite but I know a couple local guys that are LS swap geniuses.
I know car guys (or girls) are few and far between around here, but I’d love to inspire someone else who’s been wanting to get their hands dirty.
If anyone actually reads this I’ll write another after I make some more significant progress.
Peace out, and keep your stick in the ice (bonus points to anyone that gets that reference)
