Uhhh... many, many stand up comedian's use their mental illness as a form of a joke. Everything can be joked about. The context, the setup, punchline and the audience is what makes the difference. If something is no laughing matter, then no one would laugh at a joke made about the subject. If someone makes a joke about something and people find it funny, it is something that can be joked about.
