1. The dark/the unknown

I always wonder, if there is something supernatural or just some weird manic hiding behind something. or even just an animal waiting to give me rabies.... it's just enough to make me have a little bit of unease.

but this is a really scary series for me at a kid, the story of the thing scared me to death as a kid and that picture gave me nightmares so spooky... no terrifying. These pictures kind of stay with you. and in case those links were not enough, here's most of the stories with pictures to match. http://www.scaryforkids.com/stories-to-tell/ and... and most of these were banned and complained by parents, banned books stuff, this ladies and gentlemen is nightmare fuel at it's finest.

What 3 things spook me well being Irish tales of Banshees would have scared the bejaysus out of me as a kid so

(2) Being a city dweller I used to some level of artificial light outside at all times. My mothers family are farming background. My uncle's family worked the farm and my single aunt lived about 100 metres down a country road surrounded by high hedges and trees. So at night it is pitch dark, when I was a kid if I ever had to go between the two houses at night I am pretty sure I broke the world 100 metres record a few times
(3) Especially for people of my vintage from UK/Ireland remember the Hammer House double bill on Saturday night in the 1980s. The first movie would be an old movie from the 1940s, 50s and 60s monsters galore but not really scary but the second movie was from 1970s or 80s where Hammer House changed its MO, no monsters but possessions, cults , black magic and you are thinking monsters make believe but this stuff could happen so that was much more spooky.
Also related to this, early Hammer house were great ones for music you would get a two minute warning something was going to happen, they stopped the music you could be nonchalantly eating your popcorn and an axe comes from somewhere to cleave someone's skull open, not good for the heart. If I remember the first movie was maybe 10pm and the second one was about 12 midnight, your parents would be in bed and you had to go whole hog , turn off all the lights downstairs close the curtains to watch second movie on your own - No texts or social media groups with friends to protect you then, you were truly on your own :)

things that are spooky to me... hmm.
the idea of being eaten and this ideas greatest inspiration, zombies!
I don't want to spoil the GOT books, but there is a certain scene that ends in a character's face being eaten and ugh it just makes my skin curl. Also, I binged TWD for a while and had zombie dreams almost every night (thankfully I dreamt I knew what I was doing or had Rick and the gang to help out)
2. being in the shower in a new home or alone, it's just weird. it's very vulnerable
3. hmm, thinking hard... demonic movies. it's just weird to think about an actual demon

The fog thing can be scary in the dark but last year I went on a canoeing trip at 5am. We saw the sunrise while in the water, but before that there was a layer of fog surrounding the canoe and it looked breathtaking

in morning or daybreak it would look kind of fun at night, it is pretty creepy and a great atmospheric effect for movies that they don't use anymore :)

as someone who tends to like the morbid and spooky, its a little hard to scare me. sometimes the dark can give me the creeps when its that full darkness where you can't even see your hands in front of you. I live in a wooded area and when I take my dogs out at night its creepy to me. especially since I've heard weird things out there. when everything's off in the house I can't walk through lol especially because I've had a lot of paranormal experiences in my home (my family has too).

I can't sleep with my closet door open in my room. whether or not the lights are on. the closet is right across from my bed and I just imagine horrific things coming out. lol.

i love watching tv in the dark, but if its one of those old tv's that get the static on the screen when there's no signal, i can't sit there in the dark and watch that shit too long. especially if the static has its weird sound.

I have anxiety, so pretty much everything can be spooky. But the 4 most constant and terrifying things in my life are Spiders (I have arachnophobia), the dark (I'm afraid someone's following me/watching me/going to straight up kill me) bad weather (terrified of loud noises[thunder] or tornados and the such) and of course, people (do I really need to explain this one?)

I am afraid of myself if I suddenly see a mirror where it wasn't supposed to be.
A big mirror, and a bit twisted one.
It was covered by a cloth, and in the dark the cloth falls. There I see my face, and first it seems strange. Then I see that its expression is creepy. And then I am pissed off by my own face.

When you're home alone and your dog/ cat seem to see stuff that isn't there. Even worse when they react to it (meow/hiss/raise fur or bark/growl/raise fur)

The fog that comes down to the ground is the Earth's way of keeping everything under it warm. It's like the atmosphere's blanket. It's the residue of lowered clouds. they all press down to keep in the warmth.

I could take it or it leave. Most stuff doesn't scare me usually horror movies are typical and overdone. I think I saw this movie called the bye bye man or something. It was pretty good. I recommend it.

I love the dark, aliens, ghosts, coffins, hell, haunted places (forests, houses, hospitals, asylums, cemeteries etc) spiders, snakes, sharks etc. I have not found anything that scared me yet.
