My 10 Un-Goth Confessions

1. I like David Bowie

Yes, David Bowie is my guilty pleasure. He's kinda hot, and his whole Ziggy Stardust persona reminds me a bit of Omega (not putting the macron because I'm too fucking lazy) from Mechanical Animals. My favorite song by him is Starman.

2. I absolutely adore the Care Bears

They're very cute and remind me of my childhood, so yeah. Seriously, picture me (with goth makeup, chains, and spikes) running into some thrift store and rushing over to the Care Bears vintage plushes. My favorite is probably Love-a-Lot Bear.

3. I don't like Slipknot

Just never been a fan. Well, I do enjoy the song Before I Forget a little bit. And the "I STICK MY FINGERS INTO MY EYESSSSSSSSS" one is dramatic, which is cool.

4. I'm a skeptic. If you mention energy healing, crystals, spirits, astrology, or psychic abilities I will probably laugh.

I know there are a lot of goths who aren't into that stuff, but quite a few are, so I put it on the list anyways.

5. I love Star Wars.

Lame, I know...

6. My bedding was purchased pre-goth days and is pink.

My mum won't let me buy new sheets...

7. I only have one goth friend in real life.

To be fair, I do live in a racist conformist hick white small town.

Here's mine;
1) I listen to most types of music, as long as it's not pop, dance or most things in the top charts.
2) I wear colours. I'm a sucker for my dark earthy tones like browns greens and reds. Oh and the odd purple and blue thing.
3) I don't mosh. If I'm going to dance I'm going to dance the hell out of that dance floor.
4) I love cute things. Especially if they are fluffy.
5) My boyfriend is not goth. But he claims he was a "mosher" in his teens.
6) I like dolls. Pretty much most dolls as well. They
7) I sang in all my school's choirs. And I stood at the front. And enjoyed belting those broadway numbers
8) I don't have any tattoos and I don't plan on getting one
9) I went to Whitby goth fest and didn't dress up. Because that would be too conformist for me.
10) I only wear black lipstick in the safety of my own home. Because I don't suit it. And I have not the courage to pull it off.

Lol. you put 7. On this note, David Bowie was a little goth. Look at how he was in Labyrinth. I had no idea goths were into spiritual healing. As far as Slipknot, there are few good songs from them. The rest is just screaming. Being Goth means you like what you like, fuck what others think. You could have the look but it's up to you. I don't see Goth as a style but how the person feels.

I would say david bowie fits into goth, cause he is abstract and weird and kinda creepy tbh. Like he is of course not gothic. But he fits in.

I'm ancient, obviously, but only 2 seems goth shameful to me.

I'd have guessed most goth's like bowie, most don't like slipknot, atheists outnumber wiccans or whatever. I'd guess.
