Interesting take. I enjoyed reading this. The events that immediately come to mind for me are The Powerpuff Girls, Star Trek Enterprise, 9/11, and the Northeast blackout of 2003. The Powerpuff Girls came out in 1998 a few months after I was born. I literally grew up with that show. I don't remember anything from 9/11 since I was too young to know what was going on at that time (my mom said I was in daycare). I remember the blackout occurring though. I was 5 years old but I don't remember any specific details. All I know was that there was a blackout in my apartment building and I was scared.
