I read about the incident that took place in paris which was not to happen as it did. It was a very sorrowful incident for Paris but in my opinion what the pulishers and the cartoonist did was also not right, they insulted an other religion and in my opinion thats not right one should respect every religion no mattter if its an organisation or company.
I know questions would rise up for freedom of speech but one should also make sure you are not insulting someone's feeling. And knowing the fact that it is forbidden in Islam to draw scriptures one should not do that. Yes you have the right to question and ask for a reason but drawing animations of a Prophet is not correct, not only in Islam but in genral and specially if someone informs you that they don't like it and they would attack if they won't stop.
Lets take this the other way.. if u were a christian and someone insulted Jesus by drawing cartoons and the stuff the cartoonist did would you like it? or if u belonged to any other religion would you like it and get at least feel a little anger rise inside you?
I see the point that people should have freedom of speech but they should also have enough knowledge to raise a question or sth how could you do sth without having knowledge about that subject , and i bet the journalist must be knowing about islamic principles (the basics even) and drawing animations is strictly untorelable by muslims, they could have asked questions and might expect an answer but drawing and insulting other religions is not what I support!
My intention is not to hurt any beings feelings so please don't get offended!
Freedom of speech is the right of everyone but one should keep in mind some things even....

The swift and brutal censorship of any level of criticism towards the Islamic faith when all other faiths also get criticized to the same degree, shows a very deep and justifiable insecurity amongst its followers.
The Jewish and Christian beliefs from which it was plagiarized took very similar tactics throughout the ages but have not been seen to openly and violently censor like this faith still does today.
You can call yourself a "faith of peace" but until you start to actually live up to the title, you are essentially just calling a wolf a sheep in the hopes the other sheep don't notice.
"And knowing the fact that it is forbidden in Islam to draw scriptures one should not do that. Yes you have the right to question and ask for a reason but drawing animations of a Prophet is not correct"
That shouldn't be concern for non Muslims, we are not bound to up-whole Islam just as Muslim are not bound to up-whole other religions.
If I want to draw the self-proclaimed claimed Prophet (I do obviously disagree with him since he is not a prophet), then I can do so and non of you have any rights to prevent from doing it.
If you then poses a threat like the Islamic theorist do, then you are an enemy that needs to be dealt with, by wherever means at our disposal.
The cartoonist insulted christians and racists too. No one cared and no one threatened them. Also Islam should be insulted like all Abrahamic religions because all three have holy books that call for violence and when taken as they were written are destructive to Democracy. Remember centuries ago when the three were in constant war (Mostly christians and Muslims) That was not people twisting the words of the bible and Quran. That was them following it.
