Actually, you are. Homosexuality is caused by hormone imbalances in the mother's womb. There is absolutely no evolutionary advantage to wanting to have intercourse with your own gender, and so it's a defect.

And by the way, it's easy to call a gay person defected, we can fight back and shit. But would you call someone with autism defected? Would you call someone with asperger's defected? Someone born missing a leg?
I wouldn't call these people defected, just unfortunate. I wouldn't call gays defected, not because I am gay, but because there is literally nothing different about us compared to a 'regular' person other than taste.

If I were gay, I'd acknowledge it's a defect. I suffer from multiple other things, and I happily admit to being defective. I'm not going to deny it.. It's a scientific fact.

It's not a scientific fact. I don't believe I'm defected, I simply do not feel attracted to the opposite sex. I understand that you don't think of it the way I do, and that's okay.
I'm not going to argue this any further, but, just so you know, while it might not be great, it definitely is okay to be 'defected'. You can't change it, do anything about it, or hide it a lot of the time, but it is okay. To say it isn't, is to be ashamed, and nobody should be ashamed of themselves for something they can't help or change.
I never said they should be ashamed of it. I just said they're defective, because they carry traits that impaired them in one way or another. Homosexuals are impaired in the sense that they feel no lust for the opposite gender, and so the chance of them reproducing is very low.
Which is, in my opinion a good thing.
The world population has gotten too large and the more we can do to slow down our growth the better.
And I know you never said we should be ashamed, but by saying being gay is not okay, by default that will make people ashamed.

In many cases you cannot control your feelings, but you can control how you react to those feelings. A simple example, when you touch ice, you feel cold, you cannot escape that. This extends to belief in God, even Homosexuality. There is your proof. I am glad to have taught you something.

I don't understand the arguments against homosexuality, so I don't see the struggle in choosing to find homosexual love. So no, I don't think ignoring your desire for homosexual love is wise, ignoring your feelings for murder might be though (depending on who) also perhaps avoiding religions would be smart too. I don't think this hate would exist if Christianity and it's sects existed.

I did not disagree with you on that. Feelings can be good or bad, and having the strength to exercise control over them is beneficial. Yet you still seem to misunderstand the disinction between having a feeling and acting out on those feelings.
They say "Having control" over your feelings, because it is understood that the feelings themselves cannot be helped, but the way in which you respond to them can. The very language we use to describe this phenomena acknowledges this.
You also still fail to state your position. We all understand that being temperate is virtuous, no one has said otherwise, but why is that relevant to this discussion? What is it about gayness that specifically brings about this contention?

First of all, your automatic assumption that I was a religious man was very illinformed accusation. Not to mention, making that leap into thinking that i was a follower of an Abrahamic religion and then to go to Christianity was well, amazing. That's what i call self righteous. But if you must know, your assumption was correct. I read the Amplified Bible by Zondervan but i am currently looking for an acurate translation from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin scriptures. I assume you go to church or have gone to church for an extended period of time, and thusly have had your views of Christianity and God influenced by a single person (pastor/ who ever is preaching) or a small community. I suggest you clear your mind of all thoughts that you have of God and create new ones based on what you have read and what you know.

Ned, That was in the book of Leviticus, in the Old Testament. Jesus abolished the Old Testament with the New Testament, saying that if you judge others you will be judged more severely. I've read 5 different bible translations, the principle never changes. Also, Jesus also said to season your words with salt, if you don't know what that means, as I suspect you don't, look it up. Now if you want to talk about the stoning of gays lets talk about who the Old Testament said should also be stoned: fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, men who bear false witness, murderers, theives, drunkards. I suspect you have done at least one if those things. There is only one god, and that's the God of the bible. Who you obviously know nothing about. Now, I don't care if your religious or not, shaming someone is wrong and you know it. Your pride just keeps you from admitting your mistakes. In fact, you probably won't even fully read my post before you start thinking of a response.

Did you read on the first quote how it said a husband and wife, not a husband and a husband or a wife and a wife. Also, being gay is sexually in moral in the bible thus including it in the list provided in Corinthians 6:9-11.

It means stop looking at the sins of others when you're sins are greater, if you also cross reference that with a later saying of Jesus when he was being tested by the Phaisees because he chose to dine with "sinners" rather than "self righteousness men", he said "do you not know? Those who judge will themselves be judged ten fold, for the judgmen seat belongs to God". Later on he instructed the apostles when they juded the prostitute who washed Jesus feet, to pray for those who live in sin. For
"God asks for mercy and not sacrifice".

You claim that the Old Testament does not count. Well, show me that exact scripture in which it says something along the lines of, "so yeah, discount that whole Old Testament thing". When it comes down to it we are both entrenched in our ideas, like i discussed with @BaileyisDarcy (really @Takeowner, how hard is it to scroll up?) earlier. However, because i didn't have time to read your dissertation i will just have to cut to my concluding remarks and skip over the part where i disprove every one of your claims, again. So here it goes.
In conclusion, if you read a direct translation of the Bible from the original scripture you will find that it does list homosexuality as a sin. You may claim that it also says to love thy neighbor, but beyond treating a sojourner as an equal when briefly traveling in your land it says that we need to remove these sinners from Israel (Christians). It also is never stated that the
Old Testament should be discredited. If it does, i would love to see that passage. Also, God in his infinite wisdom and knowledge is all knowing and can see the 'future'; he also never lies. So why would he include homosexuality as a sin just to discredit that remark later on, thus causing others to say, "The God of the Christians can not even get the 'rules' straight" and cause shame to fall on us. In the end, God listed homosexuality as a sin. He never removes or 'takes back' this statement, EVER. So you may now go the way of many before you and bow your heads in shame for you know that what i say is true. You do realize that you can not be a true Christian and a liberal (i'm almost 100% sure you are more liberal than conservative). The two do not coincide, they never will. So i ask of you one thing, clear your mind of your previous thoughts of the Bible ang God and read it again, cover to cover. If you still feel the same way once you have completed this than i will say nothing for
i have done all i know how.

Just because somebody said that the bible is holy doesn't mean it is, it doesn't mean that little book with all it's verses about righteousness and shit is the thing to live you life by. I have read the bible myself, and I agree with a lot of points it makes. About not judging (which you are doing) and about not excluding people or hating the tax man for doing his job.
