Why does my kik say its not connecting because of wifi but my wifi is very strong?

I was texting some friends on kik and then kik kept saying connecting and it did that for 15 minutes. I tried everything like refreshing the app and then I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I tried to log in but it wouldn't let me, it says kik is taking longer than it should and that I should try again in a bit, it also says connection failed. I have been waiting for 1 hour and no hope.
Has this happened to anyone else? How do i fix it?

My hypothesis is that if you have a weak cell phone signal that cuts in and out sometimes it interferes with the wifi. Whenever I use wifi on my phone if I suddenly get a signal the phone starts trying to use that signal instead of the wifi which actually slows it down. It might also be a good idea to delete your cache and restart the phone. I'm no expert on cell phones though, I hardly touch mine.

Sorry I have no idea but can someone help. me out? I get the same. sometimes like my browser will say no Internet connection but my Internet signal says very strong?

I don't really know why your kik is doing that, but why don't you delete the app again. This time why don't you wait a few hours then try again.
