How can I fix my shit wifi?

I have the highest paying wifi only plan for optimum with up too 900mpbs. I have the router that come with the plan so thinking I may need a better router I don't know

You're confused.

Just as having a fast car, and smooth road, does not mean you will be driving at 120mph all the way there and back. So having a top plan and ISP router doesn't mean it will be top speed, right out the box.

You need to test your line speed, to see what the line can actually handle, sometimes it's not worth buying the top plan, as the line cannot give you that speed. Use a line speed test app on your phone and laptop to see what you're actually getting.

Phone the ISP if it's a lot less than what you're paying for.

The other common issue, is coverage. This varies from house to house and can sometimes be fixed with better placement of the router, or getting a mesh network. If you have stone walls or a big coverage area then it is usually best to get a bigger and more powerful router.

Again, this is something you should take up with your ISP. It's only when they cannot provide better kit for the price, that you should buy anything more.

Maybe get a Wifi repeater to strengthen the signal?

Move your router away from other electronic devices, their electronic field may disturb the signal.

Maybe you need a better Wifi antenna in your PC?

Check wether or not your provider actually delivers the speed you are paying for.

VPN clients sometimes have a "gaming mode" routing your signal to the gaming server on the fastes way possible. Look into those, most have a free trial, so you can see if it helps.

But cable is always the best.
