Autonomic reflexes are equally fast in men and women. We measured the time it takes for knee-jerk reflex to occur after striking the patellar tendon with a reflex hammer back in the start of med. school. As expected it took equally short time to occur in both genders.
Reflexes do per definition not go to the cerebral cortex (where conscious thoughts arrive) for processing, they are just relayed there more like in a "this happened" manner. This is kinda why it doesn't differ any significantly between men and women.

You're more likely talking about reaction time than reflexes, although the results could be similar.
I suspected that men had a faster reaction time, and that seems to be true for most stimuli. I didn't think that the average reaction times would be so ridiculously slow, like sometimes 0.5 seconds or more.
Women typically have about 50% longer reaction time to most things, but it varies if they're reacting to sight, sound or whatever. Here's the science, in this link.

I've been taking Karate for 5 years now and I'm going to say it is not necessarily true. A veteran martial arts person can increase their response but only marginally. I think it depends on genetics a lot.
Other than strength, girls have some athletic advantages than guys. As a rule we are more agile. I also think we can be just as fast (reaction) or even faster than guys. Girls gymnastics focus on agility so girls benefit from that. .
Also, in MMA guys have more soft targets than girls and are thus more vulnerable. I have taken down plenty of guys.
XDD
Eh. I think it really just depends on the person. Some girls have faster reflexes than some guys, and vice versa.

I think that there is POTENTIAL for them to be about equal.
I also think that in the real world, men are much more likely to approach their potential in this area than women are. Men tend to be more athletic and more likely to play sports or do other things that require high levels of hand-eye coordination. For that reason, the average male is going to be more likely to have developed those reflexes than the average female. There will obviously be exceptions in both cases.I think that sometimes it is girls and sometimes it is boys. Boys'bodies are built differently so naturally the majority of boys are stronger/faster. etc. Sometimes girls who are very athletic are stronger/faster and have better reflexes. It all depends on the person.
You're right, depends on person.
A trained female MMA fighter could knock your coworkers around easily.depends on the training/experience an individual goes through, whether that be man or woman.
A male may have quicker physical reflexes but females have an advantage of being quicker mentally because women are much smarter than men.
I have lightning fast reflexes! Haha, but girls could have them as well.
Gender is irrelevant. Yeah guys are stronger, but girls can be just as quick.
I don't think gender has anything to do with reflexes.

I was a fighter mine were outstanding and I had speed which I still do
no it is all about the individual and their state of mind
I'm a Kung Fu master, so it's not necessarily true, lots of girls are very quick and agile ;)
It varies from person to person...
