Leotard embarrassment any help?

So I am 14 and I am starting competitive gymnastics. I've never worn a leotard without shorts over it, and I've never worn a bathing suit bottom that weren't shorts before. In competition we have to wear just our leotard. I'm really embarrassed and I don't want to, but I want to compete. What should I do?

I competed in USAG for 15 years. They sell underwear in gymnastics catalogs to go under your leo. It's stronger than the stuff you buy at the store and you'll feel more comfortable wearing 2 layers. It also prevents camel toes. You cannot wear tights. I believe you still have to have your underwear (including bra) hidden as well. So we always got underwear that matched the color of the leo. Such a dumb rule. You can also use hairbrush or other sticky stuff to help your leo from riding up.

Everyone else will be wearing a leo too so don't be embarrassed. When your done with your event put your warm ups back on.

And CONGRATULATIONS! Gymnastics is the coolest sport ever.

Just remember that you're there to compete. So try not to be too worried about what you're wearing. All the other girls will be wearing something similar. Focus more on going out there and kickin ass!

What you have to remember is everyone does it already, you won't look different to anyone else so you don't need to be embarrassed.
Also try looking in the mirror first. Try to see how pretty you look in it, then when you go to perform remember that you look just as cute as when you was in he mirror.
Don't worry about it I'm sure all girls feel the same when they first start :))

Look at everyone else doing competitive gymnastics. What are they wearing? They are probably just as embarrassed as you. You can win against against them by just going out there and not caring about how look. Use that to your advantage. I know it is hard. Good Luck!

you have to get used to everyone getting a good look at your crotch.. be sure you dont have a camel toe. leotards are actually less reveling than a bikini

Footless skin color tights, or footless very thin tights. Still looking how they want, but the extra layer will make you feel more secure maybe.

wear the leotard and be embarrassed and lose the competition and cry in your bedroom then be ruined and become a stripper with two kids who is a prostitute on the side with an abusive boyfriend

If ur a gymnast u gotta get used to it 😂, u can use stuff to prevent camel toe but no tights. U also have to check if your allowed to wear a bra.
