Anonymous(30-35)+1 yEhhh, I was pretty awkward throughout, to be honest. My mum and dad sheltered me a bit because they had a few issues and left me to my own devices instead of teaching me things about life (like how to handle girls!), and I ended up with puffy nipples that stopped me feeling good about myself and so the mere thought of relationships scared me to death in case I had to take my shirt off.
My group of mates used to get frustrated and jealous, and equally at me about it; I was lucky enough to have a lot of female attention but I was too shy and unconfident to do anything about it... equally I'm kind of glad that I am where I am now because who knows, I may have ended up being a horrible player and regret everything that way too. :)02 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI would say about 15. I remember that age as being in between that boyhood stage and young adult. Really didn't care too much about how I looked. Hygiene wasn't important yet, had pimples all over. Kinda behaved like a goof.
03 Reply- +1 y
thanks for answering. but i can i also ask, what part of the boyhood was most difficult?
- +1 y
16 was because I was turning into an adult without much experience or guidance. I tried to be more assertive and more out going, more popular, tried to be a macho-tough guy so the ladies would like me, all that kinda blew up in my face because I tried too hard and ended up being more of an asshole and jerk to my friends. 16 I also started to drive and had to work part time to afford going out and that stuff. School got harder, responsibilities at home became a bit more mature, like my parents expected more of me. I wasn't a kid anymore so birthdays and Christmas wasn't the same. I learned a lot about life that year. Most of it were things not to do! But, it help make me a better person.

thanks for answering. maybe it's true what they say about life that it is hard
+1 yYears 14-17 were pretty rough. I've always looked young for my age, so at that time I looked really young. Plus I had braces, grew 4 inches, and was super skinny and gawky. But in college, and even still now, I grew into my looks and am no longer awkward. Growing up, people always told me "When you grow into your looks you are going to be really beautiful." and now I can finally see that. But high school was REALLY rough for me. That's pretty normal because you're still in puberty.

1.5K opinions shared on Other topic. 12 and 13. I didn't had boobes or any curves, but all the other girls did had them, so I always felt awkward changing with P. E class. I also didn't fit into womans clothing, so I wore children clothing, but the other girls did fit them. I got bullied a lot because of that. Girls telling me I looked ugly and childish. Some guys did that too.
12 Reply- +1 y
you're not ugly. please luv yourself and be happy wiv yourself. and that fact that you said you don't like to change in p. e classes. i feel the same way too, when changing so i go changing privately somewhere else. but thanks for answering
1.6K opinions shared on Other topic. When I was most physically awkward was when I was about 11 or 12. My body was just so wrong. Plus I was in thy stage where your facial features are too big for your head.
Stressful and emotionally awkward was when I was 14. It was very emotionally disruptive and I went through a lot of problems01 Reply- +1 y
yeah, i'm still through that awkward stage myself if i'm honest, not liking my body image. still liking it now, but people say i'll even out. thanks for answering :)

I didn't have any awkward teenage years
But when I was 11 I felt awkward because I was chubby and I still used pads (heavy flow) so it always felt like I was wearing a diaper and I had to be super careful.11 Reply- +1 y

04 Reply- +1 y
can i ask why?
- +1 y
Because of middle school, I tried to fit in with girls they didn't like me, I tried to fit in with guys by being pervy (huge mistake) that turned out bad, I eventually got bullied. In my freshman year I tried so hard to get this junior guy to like me, so I did some really stupid and immature stuff because I was jealous of the junior/senior girls that he hanged out with, he ended up cutting me off and I got bullied by his friends after my friends confronted my crush (he told me that he never wanted to be my friend and just felt bad for me so he pretended to be intrested).

Went through a lot of teenage angst (still sort of am but not nearly as severe and now I am actually trying to do productive things about it) mainly about my social and dating life.
- +1 y
I spent do much time complaining on forums and even had to get therapy because of my severe insecurities.
