honestly I refuse to eat anything past 2 days old, when I was a little girl I had several traumatizing experiences when it came to food being bad. I was so traumatized that now I refuse to eat anything on the date or after the date of expiration even if it says best by. i can't do it.

  Those the make fun of you have probably missed out on the experience of having food poisoning. Going at both ends with cramp so bad you can't straighten up isn't my idea of fun. Then once you finally stop going at both ends, usually by the next day, you don't feel good still sick and don't want to eat anything for another 3 or so days. You're welcome by the way!

Nope. I read an article that a pie can be unrefridgerated for 10 days. my kitchen gets down to 40ish in winter time so I left it on the counter. It was fine for 10 days. So I ate it. Didn't make me sick either. Thank goodness..

  Not in the kitchen. When I cook it warms up in there so I don't heat my kitchen. Gas bills too damn expensive.

Yeah i would never eat anything out dated
i heard of this woman ate raw cookie dough
she got sick with severe food poisoning she
lived 2 years with all kinds of complications
than she finally died it was horrible ,

  raw cookie dough contains raw eggs which is a big no-no unless you want salmonella poisoning. though 2 years of complications sounds like a particularly bad case of complications.
