Is it strange that I don't care about my birthday anymore?

After my 15th birthday I stopped caring, it feels like another day... on my birthdays I just stay home and sleep and don't want to be bothered... my mom always says this is weird and she tries to get me excited for it but I just don't care.

Is that weird?

Usually people start feeling this way after 21.
There really are no highlighting ages.
It becomes just another number.

I would think you would be excited about your 21st.
It means being able to legally buy alcohol and getting into clubs/bars.
Maybe you're not the going out type.

Who doesn't drink before 21? That's not really my point. It's a whole different feel when you can purchase your own.

Why would it be weird? I don't think I ever really gave two shits about mine. I have social anxiety so it's a very.. bad day for me, I HATE being the Center of attention and opening gifts, I hated it when I was five too. I even hate going to someone else's birthday. Doy.

Didn't care for it, I wanted to stay home and sleep... but my mom made me go to school. The only good thing about that day is that I got about 100 dollars and a cupcake.

I think most people get to a point where they don't place as much importance in their birthday as they did. when we are kids we are usually amped about it but as we grow older we sorta start to realize that it's only a day.

I usually remember my birthday after the actual date has passed by at least three weeks.

It's not weird, as I've got older I haven't been that interested and they're not really exciting anymore
