I'm I the only one who thinks the U. S. A should annex Canada?

I think we should annex Canada is because Canada is full of resources which are never used for ANYTHING worthwhile. We would be the strongest and largest country on earth. Our combined economy's would be bigger than China, Japan, and Korea combined, and we would be the largest country (with the most powerful military) on earth. While living conditions and fortunes would increase for all. Canada would be divided into U. S states (like Texas) and would have a seat at the worlds most powerful government. I believe we are much more capable than they will ever be, and an annexation would only benefit both sides.

Geographically the 49th parallel is not a good place to draw a border in North America.

North American geography follows the mountain ranges which run North-South dividing the major geographic, economic, and cultural regions of North America.

This is why British Columbia has a lot more in common with Washington & Oregon (whom together form a distinct cultural & geographic region) than either of them have with with Alberta, Idaho, Montana, & Wyoming.

Even North & South Dakota are a lot more like Saskatchewan than either of them are like the lake states of Ontario, Michigan, & Ohio.

Even before we were separated almost 250 years ago it was recognized in their very name that New England & nova Scotia were like England and Scotland.

Only Quebec is really a unique nation.

The U. S. /Canadian border is a sadly unnatural line in the sand drawn nearly 250 years ago over the issue of loyalty to an empire that no longer exist.
