I know relatively little about Russian people. From the internet I know about many of their political leaders. From YouTube (DashCam videos) I know how Russian male drivers can react to being cut off in traffic, lol. I'm impressed by Russian Olympic athletes.
All of the Russians I've known have had a screw loose, in a funny but also somewhat alarming kind of way. I've known a lot of Russians.
Putin is more of a man than Obama is, and more of a leader, anyways.
I don't care for the way they do things over there but I don't live there neither.
Yes indeed.
Putin was seen riding a bear

I would like to visit although I'm very sensible to the cold weathers
I don't hate Russia or Russian people, but I hate politics of Russia.
What's so bad about them?
@FinnishViking You should know if you are Finnish.
From my perspective, I hate politics of Russia throughout its history and I have reasons for it.
In 1801 Russia annexed Independent Georgia and forced us to be the part of Russian empire. Then in 1921 when Georgia still was independent state, red army intervened here and we were forced to become part of the Soviet Union.
After getting independent again we had war with Abkhazians, they were backed by Russians. If not Russia, Abkhazia, one of the oldest and the most beautiful parts of Georgia, still would be part of Georgia.
Abkhazia declared independence.
And then the last war in 2008, we had so called August War with Russia. Russia claimed that Samachablo is South Ossetia instead of North Georgia. We've lost Samachablo.
Russia has occupied more than 20% of our lands, Russian soldiers live in our villages at homes of Georgian people.
We have thousands of migrants who lost their houses and families because of Russian politics.
1. Georgia joined Russia by their own will because Muslim Turkey and Persia threatened its existence. Same with Armenia.
2. Georgia attacked South Ossetia in 2008 and Russia had to intervene to stop the bloodshed.
Even though I am Finnish, Russian politics is still better than American ones.
And by the way, wasn't Stalin Georgian? Finland and Russia suffered from Georgian politics but you don't know remember it?
@FinnishViking Ohh look at the boy, trying to teach me my own history haha
Well...
1. We suffered from Persian and Ottoman interventions. Western Georgia was occupied by Ottomans and Eastern was occupied by Persia. Georgians had only one choice to stay Christians and to stay alive, our king Heraclius II made a decision to ask for help to the Russia. In 1787 Georgians concluded contract with Russia, It was called "The Treaty of Georgievsk". According to this Treaty Russia would help Georgia in fighting with Muslim invaders. Actually, It was an alliance with Russia, not surrender to them. Russians promised us that they would guarantee Georgians’ internal sovereignty and territorial integrity, but Georgians also took responsibility to support Russia in wars. The only thing that Georgia asked for, was military support, military and political partnership and not intervention after 23 years.
Russia didn't even help Georgia, instead, they sent Russian troops to forcedly make...
we are sorry femme fetale
fatale*
make weakened Georgia part of the Russian empire.
2. Nope, mister. That's Russia who attacked us first and they claim that Georgia attacked Samachablo. Why would Georgia attack its own people? It doesn't even make sense. We were so close to the membership of NATO. "South Ossetia" is not the right term by the way, the real name is Kartli, specifically Samachablo.
What about Stalin, my family and Georgians suffered exactly as much as Ukrainians and other nations other the rulership of Stalin. He was Georgian, yes, but I hate him no less than you do. He killed no less Georgians than other people. His actions were directly connected to our loss of Abkhazia. By the way, that's Russians who love Stalin, not me and not other open-minded Georgians.
Why would you even need to mention that Stalin was Georgian, does it make whole nation cruel?
*under the rulership
OK, some of your points are valid, but I don't agree that Russia was an aggressor in 2008. You had problems with Abkhazians and South Ossetians which later turned into a military conflict. They asked for Russian help and they came there. Maybe you should concentrate on improving your own economy and society to make Abkhazians and South Ossetians regret their decision and not blaming everything on Russians? That was your fault too after all.
I love how you are bringing up points that happened a long time ago.
@Thisperson98 Abkhazians and Georgians lived in peace in last years, they had simple conflicts but Russia used it to kindle separatism in Abkhazians. In Abkhazia there lived more ethnical Georgians than Abkhazians and nowadays we have hundreds of thousands refugees from there.
That was not "help", that was violation of International laws. Actually It is a known fact that there was a genocide of Georgian people. Russian soldiers and Chechen mercenaries killed Georgians in the most brutal ways.
Now imagine another country, let's say Czech Republic. If a few Bavarians take Russian citizenship and then call Russia for help and then Russia sends troops in Czech Republic, start a war and separate Bavaria from Czech Republic, how It would be right?
That's what Russia did in both, Abkhazia and Samachablo.
You could read more information about it, instead of listening what Medvedev and Putin said. Of course they would say that they didn't start the war...
@FinnishViking But Tell me what business did Russian troops had on Georgian territory?
Thanks for advice, but I am already well aware that we need to make changes in our economics and start to strengthen our relationships with Abkhazians again. But It doesn't mean that I should start loving Russian politics.
@Thisperson98 bambino, 1992-1993 and 2008 years weren't that long time ago, right?
That's exactly when we had last 2 wars with Russia and that's exactly what we're talking about ;)
Well, war is never good, but at least there is peace and quiet in Abkhazia and Ossetia now. While the Americans only bring chaos with them.
@FinnishViking Nah there's not peace in Abkhaxia and Samachablo, people are very poor, they are kidnapped, there's very high crime level and the mist important there are Russian sokdiers controlling everything and commiting crimes against Abkhazian and natives of Samachablo.
Samachablo and Abkhazia are still part of Georgia and no matter what Russia tries they will always be Georgian territories ;)
What aboit you, you are misinformed about many things and you have huge influence of Russian brain-washing system. There's not peace in Georgia until there are our enemies.
Plus Georgia is quite peaceful country with low crime degree, in this sense the only regions that couldn't develop are the ones occupied by Russia.

I don't hate Russia but don't LOVE it either, so neutral opinion.
Approach with caution. Rich history, but smart bad people.
Unclear motives.
I don't know what to think about Putin.
He seems like he can be mean, but that is just first impressions from observing him. But I am a paranoid guy.
But, he does seem interesting.
He is pretty outgoing.
Some people answered they hate Russia, the rest don't want anything unfortunate to happen to their loved ones...
Political system is shit, but they have some beautiful women.
They are a BIG pain in the ass for us
They strike fear into everyone
They are constantly trying to expand their borders as is their tradition
And yet I don't really hate them
I don't know too much about Russia, so I say neutral. They have a nice national anthem though.
Beautiful girls but they're all crazy, good vodka, nice scenery, powerful military.
I heard the women there are much better than the ones in America, in terms o attractiveness and personality.
I voted hate.
I did so because there was no "other" option.
Hot girls, cool architecture, interesting language, nice food, beautiful nature, bad politicians, awesome space technology.
Russian men are aggressive drunkards.
Russian women are gold diggers.
No, you are mistaken. I would take Russia over UK and USA any time of the day.
No hate, no love but it's a 3d. world country and there are many gangsters at all levels.
