It's what little kids call it, and girls often have some little kid attributes left in them (which isn't a bad thing if they're mature when circumstances call for it). But if you're gonna use the less childish term I think it'd be more accurate to call it a "belly" than a "stomach" because the stomach is more the interior part while the belly or tummy is the exterior area

Not lying, I only say it if I'm talking to children. It's childish for me. I wasn't raised saying tummy (my mom didn't) and once I went to college, no professor ever called the stomach the tummy.
I'd say stomach, underside (if an animal), and abdomen.

because stomach sounds to technical and unflattering... note that "tummy" is never used to describe a large stomach unless the woman is pregnant. Otherwise something less cutesy is used to describe it... like something not so flattering...

No idea, I just do. It sounds softer and more feminine than stomach. And my tummy is soft and squidgy, calling it a stomach just doesn't sound fitting

They usually do it to sound cute. It sounds weird , as "tummy" is a word used mostly by toddlers and elementary school kids.
