Love letters: Romantic or too old school?

It would depend on how it was written, I'm a little bit uncomfortable with really exaggerated affection, because it's embarrassing and I don't like being the center of attention much. But if it were written with actual sincerity and was tailored specifically towards me with no cliches or awkwardness, just someone's actual feelings I'd probably break down reading something like that. Honestly though, even simple compliments for me are extremely meaningful, as long as I can tell they are personally tailored towards me as an individual and are meant with sincerity.

I have written them in the past though. And if you count long messages over Skype too, I've also done that. Far more comfortable with that. I'm kind of non verbal and can get very tongue twisted when speaking but I love to write and type. I think I end up sounding coherent in my feelings and true to my actual self when I'm writing so stuff. Works wonders for me when I feel like I want to express myself, it's such a strong feeling even, that I actually may need to do that. I sort of hold back my own emotions so it can get very overwhelming if I don't eventually allow opportunities to just vent them all at once.

old-fashioned? maybe a little. my first boyfriend used to write me love letters all the time... except that he always spelled my name wrong lol. so not romantic!

I think they're romantic. The problem is that with all the technology we have now, people think it's unnecessary. Or too old school.  They're more personal than texting or calling.

Both of my grandparents had arranged marriages lol. I would definitely appreciate a romantic letter, and I would write one to someone too. Im not too good with words however so I don't know how well it would work. It wouldn't be a necessary part of a relationship at all for me though, I've never really thought about it

I think love letters are old school but i imagine people still exchange them but i believe this day and age people exchange romantic messages over KiK , Text messaging.
