Should I unfollow my ex’s best friend on social media?

So i guess i can’t necessarily call this guy an ex because we dated for no more than 3 months and. we weren’t exclusive even though i was only dating him and he was only dating me.
Anyways. On one of our dates this guy took me to a baseball game with two of his friends. Both of them just so happened to be girls. Before meeting i happened to ask the guy I’m dating if he ever had a crush on one of his friends. He said he did but he got over it. I also i asked the guy i was dating what his type was and ironically it matched perfectly to the girl he is friends with. Anyways we broke things off.. But i was never given an explanation as to why. this girl added me on Instagram a while ago and every-time i see her post and the attention she gets it just reminds me of the guy i dated. And maybe he wanted her all along. (He’s the first guy I’ve ever unofficially dated, so it cuts a little deeper)

I think if they know you unfollow them, they will think that he still been a really important part of your life.
