ha ha I love your question. it might be true there is no completely selfless act but there are definitely ones more selfless than others. and any idiot who thinks you need to have a guilty conscience to help somebody needs to be punched in the face. this is proof that half of the time honey sex is the best we can do for conversations with some people. not everyone operates within the same realm of common sense, intelligence, compassion, etc.
i don't know how selfless I am because I feel like helping other people helps me contribute to the world and feel like I have a sense of purpose and that's okay with me. I have volunteered in animal shelters, homeless shelters, and battered womens shelters since I was very young - freshman year of high school is when I started. I started going to soup kitchens on several holidays during the year in my junior year and have continued to do so since. I volunteer to go to clean ups in certain parts of the city. Just pick up trash basically lol I'm looking into sponsoring a child maybe or joining the peace corps when I graduate but we'll see. I tutored kids in high school. I give money to homeless people but I rather take them to get food. it just takes more effort which I'm not always willing to do. a couple times I have asked them to walk in the store with me and ill buy them a sandwich or they can tell me what to buy and I bring it out to them. I prefer that because sometimes they use the money for drugs or alcohol. even when I don't though, I feel like its not my choice. as long as I'm helping, its up to them what they do with the money if I can't go in the store or just have a couple dollars to give them. I've been that way since I was younger. but yeah I've done a lot of volunteer events mostly. new york cares day a couple times. things like that.
and can I say, as a very skanky bi girl, that you are f***ing gorgeous? that is all. back to my sexified questions. :)

In college, my roommate got the flu so I stayed up the whole night with her. I couldn't get her fever down so I took her to the ER. Once her fever was down, I took care of her all night by applying cool compresses to her forehead, giving her meds, crackers etc. I was up almost 32 hours but I'd do it again, she was my best friend.
Another time. I was at the grocery store and this elderly woman took out cash to pay for her groceries. She realized that she didn't have enough money so she started putting items back. It was the winter time and I know many elderly people are on a fixed income. I told the cashier to put the items back on the check out belt because I'd pay for them. This woman didn't want my charity at first but I insisted. She got all of her food etc. and must have thanked me a half dozen times.
I think we need more kindness in the world.
I was walking down the block eating a sandwich when this homeless man came up to me and asked me for some money.
I didn't have any cash so I gave him my sandwich.
He was very thankful and devoured that sh*t right away.

When I was in high school I used to work at a fast food joint.
At the end of the night we'd have wastes...or someone would
change their order when it was already made.
So I'd wrap up the food and give it to the homeless people
that were usually standing outside.
I saw a man no older than 21 step in front of a car and push some kid out of the way of a drunk driver. He died at the scene of the wreck. My friend and I found the car of the drunk driver and completely destroyed it.
If I could get away with it, I would kill the man that drove that car without blinking.

This is something my friend did a homeless guy ask him for money and he didn't have any change so he gave him $5. later that night a homeless lady came up to him and gave him $3. it was crazy I know it's not about me. But that's the story
Joining Invisible Children, using my spare time to help the kids in need.
...I don't believe "selfless" stuff really exist.Even when you help someone, you feel the joy of the fact that you helped him.So you earn something too. That's selfish too in my humble opinion.
Hm...not really sure. I've done good things and helped out when I can, but can't think of something that was truly selfless
I'm not trying to demean what you did for the lady but does that really count as selfless? You didn't realize you had given here 25 dollars, you thought you had given her change.
wow, you must have a guilty conscience to be giving money to homeless people
no one cares about you tho...
I bought my mom a house.
