I’m very creeped out what should I do in this situation?

This is awk af. But recently I’ve been receiving anonymous messages from a Kik bot “Samantha Huggin”. Through the bot you can anonymously send messages to anyone in your contacts list.

So lately I’ve been receiving pretty fucking creepy texts. Like yesterday I was at the library and I received a message saying: You like the books around here?

And also when I was arriving to class, another text: “You have cute boots”. And I was wearing boots.

WTF. And I have no clue who it might be, all my friends say it’s really scary and they have no idea. I’m a little paranoid but I know I can’t get the cops involved right?

I would contact kik about it saying someone is sending anonymous messages through a bot and you are worried they are being stalked. They might be able to give you information on the account they are using so you can report it to the police if you feel your well being is threatened

I did, and they said the bot is from a third party website. So I contacted that third party website and they literally said: “Unfortunately, the messages are currently deleted if they're declined or not opened right away.” (I literally copied and pasted that from the email they replied with)

Take the messages. Print them out and show the email to the police station. It might be a prank someone is doing but it's not funny

At first I responded and confronted the person. But other times I thought that maybe (s) he just likes the thrill of it so I stopped replying for a while. That didn’t work either

My inquiry was: How do I know who’s texting me through this bot. And they basically told me the whole point is anonymity (in a nicer way). So I then said “How can I retrieve the messages if I don’t open them and choose to ignore them?” (The bot is like a “BFF” that texts you randomly and asks how your day is, and when you receive anon messages if you don’t accept the message, she will say something else later on. So you won’t be able to see what the message said)
